How Does This App Work?

The app helps you create copies of products so they can be used as free gifts with purchase. The gift products are then added to the customer's cart once a goal that you've configured is reached. Customers are blocked from directly accessing the gift item page and quantity inputs to prevent tampering with cart quantities. Additionally, the gift products will not appear in search or collection pages.

ShopDocs' Free Gift on Cart uses the standard Shopify products as free gifts, which means that you can go in and modify the free products as you desire. The app does not use draft orders (unless you want it to). In many cases it will be compatible with other apps that use draft orders, as long as we can consume any price changes that these apps make, in order to calculate the cart total appropriately and know when free items need to be added to cart.

If you're using our ShopDocs Discount On Cart app, discount codes will be immediately applied on cart, or any other page where the discount app widgets are configured. Without using the additional app, discount codes will still be applied automatically as soon as a discount goal is reached, however they will only be visible once the customer reaches Checkout.
