I use at least 4 different apps from Hextom for years.

This Free Shipping notification, and pricing goal countdown, is really helpful to communicate to my clients (by geography) that there is a free shipping option, and how much more they would need to add their cart to receive it.

I wouldn't want my clients to only know about the free shipping option from the homepage specials bar - nor have to do the simple mental math to receive the bonus - spelling it all out is much better and helps to finalize the order.
