We used this app when it first came out. Works great for parcels but if you use them to bring freight across the border BEWARE. The pricing that they quote is awesome until you get the bill for the up charges. We had one where we were charged more for handling once it got to our destination than it cost it to ship from NYC. We were charged for a liftgate when we have a loading dock and internal delivery for them to bring the pallet inside. (I have pallets delivered inside all the time and I am never charged extra). On another one we were charged for redelivery even though there was a free dock but the driver would not wait. I wrote lengthy emails about both of these and was told they would be looked into. Nothing happened....they side with the trucking companies no matter what.
Sorry for your experience. Massive improvements to the process and application have been made.
I'm sure you would have a much different experience if you gave us a shot again.

Just switched over to ClickShip currently getting better rates than my previous shipping company ! Haven't had any issues with shipping and pick up.

Just started using this app recently and so far, so good. Prices compare favourably to a competitor app I was using. Fuad, my customer service rep, has been great, very helpful and responsive. Interface is pretty intuitive and any questions I did have were answered quickly.
I stumbled upon this app by pure luck, it is the best shipping app for canadians. Their prices are unbeatable, trust me I have tried finding better pricing, no other companies came close. I also spoke to their agent and customer service is fantastic. I RECOMMEND++++

Excellent App! Every app claims to give shipping discounts, but this really does.
. Orders are super easy to fulfill and the support is fabulous.
I had an issue that left me pretty angry. The owner called immediately when he found out. It's obvious he cares about his business and his customers.
App is good at displaying rates from multiple carriers and the integration with Shopify orders is great. Customer service from the company for things like invoicing and tracking is also very responsive. The app however still has a couple of annoying bugs in it that can trip you up and the technical support has not been good for those issues -- although the follow-up by a tech rep was prompt, it sounded like someone was reading from a script without an adequate answer and a couple of months later, the bugs still remain. We have managed to find workarounds ourselves after trial & error but lack of qualified tech support and the fact that the bugs are still there is somewhat disappointing.

I ship some products, that are flat and can go in a bubble mailer, and others which need to ship in a box. Boxes are heavier than bubble mailers, so I need an app with a little bit of intelligence to get accurate shipping rates, or I will lose money on boxed orders.
I have used other apps, and while they do work, the ones I tried did not all integrate well with Shopify, so I had to copy-n-paste all the shipping information onto the carrier's website, which was a hassle. Those apps were also pretty expensive.
ClickShip is free (yes! really!) and integrates smoothly with Shopify and FreightCom (the shipping backend). It automatically imports your products, so all you have to do is to set up the product dimensions (hint: export the product list from ClickShip, edit the Excel sheet, import) and set up your box dimensions.
Do note that ClickShip requires support for third party shipping rate apps/providers enabled with Shopify. If you pay annually (or longer terms), this is included for free. All you have to do is to write Shopify Support to have it enabled. If you're on a monthly plan, you may be able to get this feature for an additional fee (ask Shopify!).
With this app I can now offer my customers discounted rates for FedEx, UPS, DHL, and others. I have ~40 products and it took me maybe 2-3 hours to get everything running to my satisfaction. Their customer support is there for you should you need help (someone responded to my chat within a few minutes).
I have my stores set up to serve Canada Post rates directly from Canada Post (I have a commercial account with them) and FedEx/UPS rates via ClickShip. It works for me.
I think ClickShip/FreightCom could support metric dimensions and weights better. Metric dimensions are supported, but the system defaults to US units, so a few extra clicks are needed for the conversion in the shipping process. It's not a big deal. Just a small annoyance that could easily be solved in software.
I shipped my first UPS package this morning. I think it took, maybe, 3-4 mouse clicks from login to shipping label. And the actual price charged was the rate quoted to my customer.

Clickship is a good shipping app that has made my shipping experience easier and more efficient. It's user-friendly and cost efficient, offering a transparent breakdown of shipping costs. With some minor improvements to its backend tech it could easily become a 5-star app. I'm satisfied with my experience so far and will continue using it for my shipping needs.
