Geolocation ‑ GLC

Based on my experience comparing many location apps, Geolocation - GLC is the most convenient and offers the best user experience.

The pop-up interface and settings are very user-friendly and easy to understand. Your customer service response is also incredibly fast; they reply quickly regardless of the time of day, which is a pleasant surprise.

The service team is highly professional and able to resolve my issues quickly, which has been a huge help. I'm very grateful!

This app raises multiple red flags.

First, the list of permissions it requires is far beyond what’s reasonable for a simple currency converter. It asks for access to sensitive customer and store data (names, emails, addresses, order details, etc.) that have nothing to do with price conversion. That feels excessive and unnecessary.

Second, the app won’t actually run unless you download a Chrome browser extension. This is not normal for Shopify apps. Browser extensions can access everything you view in your browser, which creates additional privacy and security concerns. A properly built Shopify app should work within Shopify itself, without merchants needing to install external extensions.

Overall, the combination of overreaching permissions and dependence on a browser extension makes this app feel unsafe and poorly designed. I cannot recommend it.

I want to update currency on the basis of location which is not happening right now

The support is good, therfore the 2 stars, but the app doesn’t work properly. When you use it, you might can’t manage without help from support. I had major issues with incorrect translations online, and when I tried to change them, the changes wouldn’t save - app got stuck. The navigation within the app to manually fix incorrect translations also takes a long time and involves a lot of scrolling. It’s even more frustrating when you finally find the section, make the change—but then it doesn’t save.

To be fair, I need the translations in Dutch, but the app struggles to make smart choices or maintain consistency (for example, it translated the same button text three different ways).

very complicated to use, zero support , they never answer you !! ok a NEW UPDATE to this review !! so not only they replied to my email weeks after i sent the email , now they are saying they sent multiple emails and thats not true ,,, i am not a person who usually leave bad reviews but some respect to us and for our time !!!

I installed it and set up few languages with also automated language preference detection and integration in the website in just 15 minutes. It seams a dream come true and also completely free. There is a Loyalty program with some basic requirements (still completely free) that allows to unlock full features. I applied and I was preapproved instantly. This can be revoked, however so far so good. This is the dream app for your website translation. I really hope it will stay free and with all the features unlocked.

The currency only has one option on mobile even though I have enable multiple currency in markets.

Great app. Easy to use, great customer support. Its almost too easy that i was confused if i am missing anything. I tried a few other translation app and this is def the perfect start for my business journey.

Good App with much potential but is translate the Checkout Button in de German lanfuage not correct. I tried to reach out to the support team but nobody is avaivable or responded. This is sad.
