Avoid them if you can.
+ Decent quality products.
- If you face any issues (which I have faced multiple) don't expect support to be of any help; they'll give an empty apology then avoid what you're saying.
- Their delivery isn't reliable since they don't control their network well; I've had customers place orders weeks ago and they still haven't been delivered.
- Their design tool is very clunky; it's failed to save my designs costing me hours of work, and it's generally difficult to navigate.

I had a problem with one of the products (product damaged) in my order and they took action quickly to credit or refund that order. The Gelato team informed me of the next steps to follow when I encounter a futur issue which is really clear. My problem is the refund was made only on a Gelato wallet which only allows you to use it in a futur order in their store.

Gelato has been great for me so far. Especially their customer service. I've used other Print on demand companies and their customer service is no way near as good as Gelato's is.
I'd like more variety. If Gelato added hats & beanies I wouldn't have any need for the other print on demand companies I currently use.

Super easy user interface and some of the best customer support I've ever experienced. I've had a bunch of difficulties getting the print colours right, but I think this was mostly due to oversights on my part.
A few things that would make these 5 stars shine even brighter would be:
The possibility to upload PDF ready prints for posters instead of having to use their own product designer tool (fewer steps, fewer potential mistakes). I'm currently using a workaround to achieve this.
Better mockups! I'm on Gelato Gold and must say that the mockups are more a Bronze kinda' deal, so I'm using Freepik premium mockups to achieve high quality.
The possibility to allow customers to choose shipping partners based on their preferences. Not exactly sure if you'd need a Shopify Plus account to achieve this,
but in any case it's trust building and should be possible.
A final ask.. would be more automation on the shipping and invoices part. I'd like to be kept up to date regarding delays and have invoices automagically sent to my billing system (could be as easy as forwarding to an email).
Anyway! All in all this is my first exposure to a print on demand service and I'm quite impressed with the tech, team and integration.
