GemPages Landing Page Builder

I've been using Gempages for about four-weeks now. It is truly an amazing app, to say the least. There are nearly an endless supply of possibilities, whether creating homepages, product pages or quite a few others that are available (contact, about us, etc).

A lot of options, but with a clean and simple layout that isn't overwhelming, even if you're new to Shopify or ecommerce in general.

Not being very tech-savvy, I was having an issue I needed help with a while back, and, after contacting both Chris and Nicholas, they went FAR AND BEYOND to help me fix where I had gone wrong.

I am not a patient person - by anyone's standards - but they took their time, explained everything in detail about products assignments and templates, and even went through the trouble to record multiple live-shots in order that I could fully understand.

They didn't just fix the problem and say "have a nice day"...they wanted to ensure that I UNDERSTOOD what the problem was, and *where* and *why* I had gone wrong.

It was a simple fix (always is), but took some explaining in detail, which I am forever grateful for.

This was not easy on their part, but not once did I sense any attitude or impatience with me...and I can sometimes drive people to major attitude very easily. However, they were very professional, all the way.

I chose Gempages after trying all of the page-builders. By far, their system is the easiest to work with. The drag-and-drop functionality is a nice break from others, which tended to be glitchy, slow - and a bit rough around the edges.

One has the ability to list multiple products via template option, or exporting an entire listing into one's library, which saves tons of time for me in my particular business as a publisher, which can be mostly rinse-and-repeat when dealing with the same format for multiple books.

As the owner of multiple, profitable businesses, I don't hesitate to recommend Gempages - especially after working with their support team. Support is excellent, and unfortunately this is rare with many companies nowadays...this from years of experience.

So basically, of the fifteen or so apps I use, this is easily my favorite.

Would give 10-stars if I could:

5 for the app itself, and 5 for the support I received. I've had issues is the past with other app companies, not really caring about their customers as long as they got their money, which is why I'm extremely careful about what apps I let in my business, and what apps I don't.

Gempages is one of the highest-rated apps here on Shopify, and they definitely deserve that rating - if not a Solid FIVE STARS...

Oh my god this is a wonderful app, i use this everyday to make changes to my stores, it is very flexible and user friendly. You just gotta drag and drop.

Even the customer service is at the top level, i specially love this guys James, he is a real nice and excellent customer service representative. He helps me most of the time. This is the best page builder ever. Thank you Gempages.

Take it from a total website building/designing noob, GemPages has been amazing to use. So much of it is super intuitive and the drag/drop functionality is great for getting your content on the page, then tweaking the little things til you achieve the perfect look across devices. The few times I've run into a roadblock, their support via chat (both Jane & Mona) has been a godsend. So glad I chose GemPages!

Easy drag and drop customizability gave me the ability to create highly professional sub-pages without coding. The great feature set makes for very flexible designs. Moreover, the support offered is fast and friendly. They answered all my queries and went above and beyond in helping me use the app.

GemPages itself usually works fine, but customer support times are very bad! On friday, you will get the message that they return on monday. So if you have a huge bug or problem, you have to find a workaround or live with the bug for 4 days (which is a lifetime in ecommerce)!

Moreover, BEWARE OF THEIR ECOMSOLID THEME!!

The theme is FULL of bugs. For instance, it did not work to show the sales price correctly in one of their templates. Then they fixed it (took 2 days), but the fix was still wrong (now it also showed the sale price badge, even if it was not on sale...). Another example: on the product page, i installed the addon to show the stamped-reviews. However, suddenly the reviews also show on the homepage. I double-checked, the addon is not installed on the homepage. And since it's friday today, I will have to wait 4 days (!) to get an answer and have them start fixing their own bug. These are only examples, I had to open multiple tickets only due to bugs in the last 1-2 weeks.

I've been using this app for over 10 months now and have to say this app has GREAT potential. The amount of customization is amazing for the price. However, the rave stops there. The first couple months were great, but for longterm use this is not a good option. The amount of glitches have become too much for the cost. I would love to continue using Gempages because I've integrated so much of my website into their platform, but when you lose hours of work time recreating the same page over and over because something as basic as a save or export feature isn't working- its time to go. I've had to redo the product page on each individual product twice because their meta widget kept failing, I've had to recreate a simple blog post 3 times, the complaints are endless. Time is money and the frustration is unbearable.
Customer service was great the first couple months (or maybe my patience was just higher), but they seem to only give promises of improvements with nothing ever changing. I hope Gempages improves their issues, until then maybe my review will save someone else their time and money.

I'm quite new to Gem Pages but I like the service already. Team and Support are very helpful and provide assistance fast and of a high quality. I've deleted by error one of the pages I was working on and they were able to restore it in 5 minutes. Really recommend this product.
