I did not see the email warning about this auto-install , but I did notice sales were down in the last day. Could it be this ugly 2-star pop-up? I noticed it only because I saw the note about API permission, grateful that I caught it in time to delete before more damage was done. To be fair, due to increased shipping and environmental costs not really interested in getting even more international orders.

Easy to install and did what it promised but has it's limitations. We still have customers checking out in USD when they should be in their native currency so clearly not everyone is seeing the notification or they are clicking it off because they haven't committed to a purchase when they first land on our site. I would give this 5 stars if the pop-up/notification bar could be activated again between the shopping cart and checkout stage.

big disappointment. to change the language. the bar is down bottom on the footer. correct placement is on the header not footer...

Do not download. The selectors only show at footer (where nobody looks) and the recommended language popup is partially hidden on mobile so customers cant see it.

Hi there, thanks for your review. The Geolocation app is mobile optimized - our theme support team would be happy to take a look at the issue you were experiencing to see why it was only partially appearing on mobile.

We are investigating future changes to allow the selectors to be in the header as well.

It's a good app, unfortunately the currency/country selector is hidden at the bottom on the footer, where no one is going to see it. So it ends up being next to useless. You would think that they would offer the option of having it on the header.

Hi there, there are 2 reasons we don't do this. Firstly, because Geolocation offers a pop up recommendation to buyers when they aren't in the right location or language. They should only need to use the selectors if they want to change to a country or language different than their default.

Secondly, because Geolocation doesn't add any code to your theme, it's not technically possible for us to add selectors to the header reliably. If you want to do this, you can have a Shopify expert build a country selector directly into your theme's header instead (https://shopify.dev/tutorials/customize-theme-support-multiple-currencies). Works for me, BUT I cannot customize the text. Once the app is installed it says "Looks like your browser is set to English. Change language?". Thats not what I want. The text of the example images (in the app store) is much better.

Also the size of the text is quite big. How can I adjust that? For example: the text in my fixed top banner is way smaller compared to the Geo-text.

Once the Geo Banner is more customizable, I'll adjust my rating :)

Hey MERSOR,

When the Geolocation app only makes language recommendation as is the case with your store, we depend on the browser language. This is why the text is different from what you see in App Store listing - which is for both currency and language.

We have had issues with the top bar recommendation type in the theme you are using. We would recommend switching to the "Popup" recommendation type.
