As far as I can see, this app does nothing.
When you go to the list to select the country you want the currency to be displayed in...the option for ALL the countries is USD.
I changed to another country and the text does not change to their language in the preview either.
Doesn't make any sense to me... not sure what it is supposed to do
Hi there, this is because you have not set up your Markets to sell in local currencies. You can do this by going to Settings --> Markets --> International, and turning on local currencies under "Products and Pricing."
It forces some visitors to stick to the language that is spoken in the area that they are located in by showing the pop-up window again and again if another language is chosen. This may cause a problem for some visitors. Especially if they browse in private.
First why the popup works only "sometimes" ? And why the language selector is on the footer ? Finally, this app is useless. The only solution to get an multi-language boutique is to pay an app (and it's about 29$ / month).
Hi there, thanks for your review. To clarify, the Geolocation app does not translate your store for you - it redirects people to the right language based on what you have configured in your Markets.

Too basic. Need to be able to whitelist pages. (The rest of this text is to maake sure I hit the Minimum 100 characters)
No way to move the country/currency drop down, so it's stuck at the bottom of your shop. Seems like a pretty obvious thing to be at the TOP of your shop.
I have uninstalled the app because it wasn't working as expected and ask them through Shopify Support to remove any remaining code on my store but they keep ignoring my messages.

Hi there, sorry to hear about this. The Geolocation app does not actually add any code to your store.
It irritates sometimes when you chose different language than your System language and the it shows pop up every time your selected and saved your language.
This app self installed and changed settings in Markets to "show prices in USD" when we are an AUD business, resulting in a customer being charged USD and disputing the transaction through paypal. If i could give negative stars I would - no app should self install or make changes without user perminssion
Sorry to hear about your experience. Geolocation does not make any currency changes to your markets. It simply reads from the markets setup that you have along with your currencies.
not even a singel star as it does not work when by any chance anywhere else in the theme GEO is activated. Or i am not sure why it does function wierd. sometimes it does work sometimes it does not and hence i am uninstalling it, Please clean the code if any tran=ces of it are left behind. will not suggest this app not even for free.
The app is not working as expected, i tried switch locations to test whether it changes/translates the text or but for some strange reason it doesn't and it seems to be using the same currency for different regions.
At the end I uninstalled the app but the locations stills show up after uninstalling the app. what should i do to have it removed
Unfortunately because you are not using Shopify Payments, you can only sell in one currency - this is why your currencies are not changing. The app also does not automatically translate your content for you. For this you should use something like Translate and Adapt: https://apps.shopify.com/translate-and-adapt
The selectors you current have are not coming from the Geolocation app, but another app you have installed called "BUCKS currency converter Pro++"
