The same happened to me. A total disaster of configuration inside Shopify. This is one review left before me. "I have entered and double-checked the contact information in my store a thousand times. Customers can access the page - Contact Form, a link to my contact information and pages on social networks. There is an e-mail at the bottom of the page. Shopify support has confirmed that I have done everything correctly. And after all this, the app answers me that Google verification is not passed." So Shopify says I'm good but when you enter your account at Shopify, it is still not connected.
Hello and thanks for taking time to leave a review. Apologies for any frustration and I will share the feedback with our team. Click on the blue text: "Confirm that you've added contact information to your online store" and a popup should present itself then click okay. That should then resolve that open checklist item for you and unblock your onboarding.

Absolute garbage of an app. Wouldn’t update anything in the merchant centre and constantly crashing. Don’t waste your time!
Wanted to try this, and actually signed up for Shopify because I saw that it would of made it easy to work with Google had I done so.
My store is based in the Dominican Republic, and Google Shopping launched here a few weeks back. Wanted to use the app but it won't allow me to select Dominican Republic because we are accepting USD, but when I select DOP it won't let me use it either.
Does anyone know of a differnet App that will work with shopify and google in the Dominican Republic?
Thanks for sharing this feedback on our Google Shopping app! Currently this is a limitation due to Google Shopping still being in a beta phase for the Dominican Republic. This means that only select merchants are being invited by Google to participate. The absolute worst experience with this app, it is incredibly frustrating. "Mismatched Currency In Shipping Information" has been plaguing us for 48 hours. All currency is USD, shipping currency is USD, I even shut off international markets and disabled geolocation to no avail. The worst part is, 900 products are approved, and a few hundred random ones are not, and the ones that aren't keep changing (day by day, some errors will disappear, and new ones will pop up).
Contacted Google support about the issue and how to fix and their response was literally "You need to fix this or we will disable your account on December 7th". Truly insane, especially with the amount we spend on Google Ads every month.

As everyone has said, this app does not work. I used this for a small side site I set up as i have a lot of experience with Google shopping feeds I thought this would be a simple way to get started on a small range. However it keeps products pending for weeks, and does not allow you to edit most of the fields you need to in order to run well optimised Google shopping ads.

This app is SO Bad. I regret greatly that i removed the old version of Google Shopping. Shopify is no help either.
You can't search for products in Google Shopping app and you can't search for categories. :/
