The old google shopping app was removed and replaced with this app. You can no longer select products to feed over to google merchant center by collection. It pushes you into using a smart shopping campaign which may not be best if you need a custom campaign and only market to certain states. You can no longer search for a specific product in the products area. you can no longer "push" your products into google merchant center. Overall this app sucks compared to the old one and am trying to find a different option to use moving forward which really stinks because November and December are big sales months for our industry and I should not have to make changes to my online advertising and find new avenues this time of year, I should be already set up... like I was.. on the old app.
I've given up trying to sync my shopify products to google shopping. My products never get approved apparently for being "adult related material". Really? Electronics, children's toys, wrist watches, etc.
I guess I will have to turn to paid services.
Hello there and thanks for leaving us feedback. We took a quick glance at your account and it looks "Adult content" was enabled in your Merchant Center Account Settings. This is leading to your disapprovals. If you can confirm your offers are not "Adult content", please navigate to Merchant Center Account Settings and uncheck this box. The app does cut work out in getting the materials to google shopping; however, the freight integration is exceptionally poor. Google will choose the most expensive rate you have. You can manually override, but that takes the value of this integration app down quite a bit

Im happy to hear that you like some functions of the app. Though I completely understand your concerns on the shipping function, Google does pull the most expensive shipping rate. I will pass this feedback along to my development team.

I find it quite disappointing that because our store currency is in Naira which is because we are in Nigeria, we are unable to use this application. We tick all the boxes and have been using Shopify for 3 years. I do think this discrimination is unfair and we have been trying to use this for over a year now. Would be great if this can be reviewed

I can't see the products I synced from shopify in the google merchant center, and the system does not clearly indicate the reason.

We were also unable to install this app. It didn't provide any information except "[Store Name] refused to connect".

this is worst app, I could not change some items in google merchants, such as color, gender, age, and I have to change it one by one in google merchants, it more than thousands items

My account was suspended due to misrepresentation. Trying to fix it is fruitless Google won't explain the issue and Shopify hasn't a clue. Really frustrating for such a simple product and e-commerce site. In addition every reply from Shopify references useless help on fixing the issue. In my opinion Shopify should be more aware of why Google suspends merchant accounts as all the information provided to Google is provided by the Shopify Google app. Shopify should help it's paying users fix the issue instead of referring to useless help. By the way it is impossible to get in touch with Google to fix the issue and even after getting a case number from google I get radio silence. I am about to close my store as I don't even show up on any search in Google and can't even pay for adds because my merchant account is suspended.

Google does not share with us further details on why they have flagged an account due to Misrepresentation, although I truly wish they did. From our end, we can only provide you guidance based on our own experience. But at the end of the day, it's totally up for Google if they will lift the suspension or not.
