This app has just helped me score a £11.87 CPC on a product whose retail price is £11.95.. what an absolute winner.
Made the mistake of thinking Shopify would set up defaults based on good PPC practice and then let me alter them as I learned.
But no they've setup FIXED defaults based on... oh I don't no the seasons of the moon perhaps..
Due to the massive backlog at Google (seasonal perhaps.... so a great time of year to drop this app...) I've literally waited 2 weeks to find that from the looks of things I would have been better setting a small camp fire and dishing £10 notes into it.
Though in that time I was glad to find that a good handful of categories need a Color tag and while Shopify customer service were helpful enough in their advice to set up individual variants and to change the spelling of the variant to "color"... do I really want to confuse my local UK customers into thinking we are USA based and not local ... no... no I really don't
But I'm glad your Dev's took the decision to feed in such a way that all functionality is locked at the Google Adwords end, so I can't even seperately set "color" there either.
The fact that the Ui for the app can't even draw the right page... (clicking the forward arrow doesn't mean I want to bounce back to the first page the minute I start to scroll.) is just beyond excuse.
There's so many good things about Shopify... but there are so many shockingly amateur things as well.. This falls firmly into the second camp.
Please roll back this to previous version. This messed up my google feed and shopping ads. PLEASE FIX . THIS WAS MY ONLY WAY OF ADVERTISING AND SELLING. SERIOUS ISSUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no option to push the feed or republish after I make a change in product attributes.

If you use your product variants for anything other than colors and sizes (i.e. special offers that you DON'T want published) you are out of luck. This app publishes all variants with no option to exclude. Shopify's advice - duplicate all your products and remove the variants! This is a huge mess for our inventory, customer service, accounting, etc. Forcing us to move to a new app without fixing this issue is very poor! What is an alternative to this app?

Google Ads does not detect the conversion tags that this app should inject on my website. As always, Shopify shits on the apps they do... I had a bad experience with Facebook sales channel made by Shopify in the past.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this app but in the past it has run fine. On my new site, I setup the feed on Google Merchant, and the whole site was imported including items unmarked for Google Shopping, which included items that Google does not want to promote at this time (ex: cloth face masks). This got the account suspended and I have been talking with Google for at least 2 months jumping through hoops but I'm really running in circles. I'm not sure what I can do at this point.

I've been stuck for 2 weeks on "Checking your site claim" after linking Google Merchant Centre account with this app. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same thing just gets stuck on checking site claim. Also the content API doesn't seem to work as a primary feed, I am having to use a separate Google Sheets to even get the products to show up in the GMC dash.

I would like to know why Google is all of a sudden claiming misrepresentation on so many including us. What is going on? Why are suspended? Why should I continue to do business with Google at all?

Google does not share with us at Shopify the reasons why they suspend an account. However, I'm happy to share with you some suggestions on how to handle this situation.
