Superstar customer service and customization support!

Beware! These folks like to do their own app installs, which could be good or bad, depending. For us, it was not a good experience. If you do decide to get involved with these guys, make sure you backup your theme yourself before they start. They implement changes on live sites without backups and will write over customizations in place. If there are issues with the app, it is not possible to revert the changes.

We found their developers to be sloppy and undisciplined. Many mistakes were made. They do keep in touch and are willing to re-do the work over and over and over again until they get it right. However, in our case, they never did get it right, and after some weeks, we lost patience and confidence in their company.

UPDATE: Growave has asked us to remove this negative review several times. They accused us of being bad people ("A good person would not want to hurt another's business."). They claim they have corrected all the problems that we experienced. Maybe so. But we gave them many chances over many weeks, and mistakes were repeated and new mistakes made. You will have to decide for yourself.

We always ask merchants which theme is best to upload our files and make changes as a part of our onboarding process. So when you install the app, you will see a dropdown that allows you to select a needed theme to implement the app.

Also, I would like to note all apps on Shopify including Growave, can’t reinstall the app itself. unless you install it back. Because apps don’t have access to your Shopify account. On top of it, we don’t know which theme is best to select unless you indicate it in your emails.

When it comes to our team we always notify our customers before making changes. It looks like you have simply missed our email that was sent right after you changed your theme. But we have already taken the necessary steps in order to prevent such a misunderstanding.

If you ever experience such problems, our team would be able to remove all codes from your live theme and implement it to the needed theme. Literally, it will be done in a few seconds. You can just hit the Live Chat button on our website, contact support@growave.io or we can jump on a call to discuss this.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE APP!
It gives you the opportunity to apply very important features like wishlists, social logins and many more things! It's amazing!!!
And the customer service...THE BEST! They fix you everything you require in very short time, always kind and on the spot, even if you are a demanding one!
If I could give more than five stars, i definitely would!!

Amazing support given by Kalys, he was patient in gathering my requirements and quick in making all the changes. I have installed the app today only so can update on a feedback at a later time. But support was exceptional. Thank you kalys!!

I have ran into three major bugs so far. They still have at least one huge bug right now.

1. They had a bug that allowed somebody to share to Facebook over and over with no time delay and generate fraudulent gift cards out of thin air extremely quickly. Somebody ran up probably 750,000 points or so in one evening by doing this on loop. I spent an entire weekend trying to disable the fraudulent accounts and cards.

2. Woke up this morning four months later to see that people are still able to order products that they never paid for, with gift cards that were created out of thin air, that were disabled four months ago. This is a big deal, this was $75,000 created before I realized what was going on, four months later it's still not fixed.

3. There was also another bug that rewarded points for using points which is ridiculous, and it still didn't work right even after the support team pointed out which setting should be used and was updated. I sell high ticket items so for example if somebody bought $10,000 worth of items, they got a $1,000 gift card, but then when they used that gift card, they were rewarded with another $100 gift card, then another $10 for using that one, which is absurd.

Tried to be understanding but if they're not going to take this seriously then everybody else needs to know about potentially huge issues with the app revolving around reward points and gift cards. Ones that you did not sign up for.

This app is incredibly helpful, and helps level the playing field for startups competing against much larger e-comms. Additionally, Kalys at Social Shop Wave has offered fast detailed support. This was definitely one of the best decisions we've made so far for our store.

With my sites design (Streamline), we wanted to go with the cleanest possible mobile look. Anything with a pop up widget was out of the question. This left me with Loyalty Lion, or Growave for options in terms of a loyalty points app that can be embedded in its own dedicated page or menu. The app runs completely off site, and doesn't install any code. I had many design changes that needed to be done, including the color change of almost every bit of text and background in the program. I could have done this myself, if it had been on the Shopify side. However I was able to reached out to the team and they promptly made all of the required changes, pretty much the same day. They absolutely didn't have to do any of that, based on the low price the app. For a fraction of the price of the other major loyalty point apps, you get an awesome, rewards, reviews, wishlist, and social login app, all baked into one, for a very low monthly fee (based on order volume). For the price, the quality of the app and the team backing it are unbeatable. Highly recommended, and I will be a customer for life as our store grows. Thanks so much Growave!
