There is no active help center. Also, if you have 500 products, there’s no way to upload them all to the GS1 database in a single file. Furthermore, there is no integration between GS and Shopify.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry GS1 Assistant didn't meet your expectations.

The app does include an in-app Help Center, accessible from the ? button in the lower-right corner. We're continually expanding the documentation and FAQs based on customer feedback.

GS1 is made up of independent Member Organizations, and each provides different technical capabilities. Some support direct API integration, while others provide import formats that allow us to generate files from Shopify. Unfortunately, not every GS1 organization currently provides a supported import format, so the available workflow varies by region.

We are actively expanding support for additional GS1 organizations as merchants share their import requirements with us. If you contact support, we'd be happy to review your specific GS1 organization and discuss the options available.

Excellent app and outstanding support.

We run a Shopify store with more than 20,000 SKUs and manage our own GS1 Norway company prefix. Before finding GS1 Assistant, our workflow relied heavily on manual Excel spreadsheets, GS1 imports, and countless hours of administrative work.

From the very first email, Brian was incredibly responsive and helpful. He took the time to understand our unique business model, where a single retro game can exist in multiple variants and conditions, each requiring its own GTIN. Not only did he answer every question thoroughly, but he also implemented support for the GS1 Norway import format specifically to help us streamline our workflow.

Throughout the process, communication was excellent. We received direct assistance, onboarding guidance, troubleshooting help, and even new features based on our feedback. When we encountered challenges, they were addressed quickly and professionally.

The app now allows us to assign and manage GTINs directly from Shopify while dramatically reducing the amount of manual work required. For businesses handling large product catalogs, especially those using GS1 prefixes and complex inventory structures, this app is a huge time saver.

What impressed us most was that the developer genuinely listened to customer feedback and continuously improved the product during our implementation.

Highly recommended for any Shopify merchant who needs professional GTIN, EAN, UPC, and GS1 management.

An Incredibly Helpful and Time-Saving Tool!

The GS1 Assistant made working with GTINs and UPCs so much smoother and more intuitive. It takes the guesswork out of product identification and helps ensure everything is formatted and validated correctly. I was impressed by how quickly it provided accurate guidance, especially when managing large datasets. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and the step-by-step support is a huge plus. It's a must-have for anyone working with product barcodes or needing to stay GS1 compliant. Highly recommend!
