Great app, has some excellent pre-filled out information and pages for you. Very easy to use! Highly recommend this to give a clean and professional look to your help feature.
Great App!
For me and most other users out there this app provides and effective, simple and easy solution.
I have tried to create a good FAQ through:
-Shopify Page Design
-Inserting my own specific codes into a page
-Tested three other help center type apps
(Note this is my personal assessment based on my limited knowledge of web programming)
1) Help Center VS. Shopify Page Creation
-Creating Shopify pages are super easy but the design is limited to your theme and may not be adaptable for easy reading on an FAQ type section. This is important to note as customers expect an easy to read FAQ to answer their immediate questions and a regular themed page will not do it. Result: I'm going to learn to throw some style coding...
2) Help Center vs Shopify + Styling
-So this process took me to add a little styling to the html/css code to make it look better. This worked after a few hours of playing around with things. Then, on another note, I decided to change my whole FAQ section and... to my sadness.. my code needed to be re-done... Result: This didn't work either for myself as my coding skills are not up to par.
3) Help Center vs. FAQ/Help Apps
-I tested a bunch of the listed apps liked zendesk and some lesser known apps. Alot of them were very well done and provided a huge array of value and customization. Only problem was, my main concern was a cool/easy to read/and integrated to my theme faq section. These apps provide integration for help/support through email and agents but our 1-2 person back office did not need this level. Also, a few of the apps had excellent help desk style forums but they were located on their hosted site. I could customize the look of these hosted setups nicely but honestly I didn't really have the time to update as I like to follow this process:
Customer sends email asking a question/Sends Facebook/Instagram/etc ->
I respond with a thoughtful and supported answer ->
I take this question/answer and generalize it and add to my FAQ since I assume if one person maybe 5 are wondering bout it ->
Add to FAQ and call it a night
As of now (I have only tested Help Center for one day) - it completes my above goals with easy and no frustration.
This is a free app so the expectation of impressive integration and tools are not needed. But, I would expect once the app has some critical mass of users this basic setup will definitely be a big draw to those small companies with huge growth dreams. I think it is important to pay for hard work of developers and I really appreciate a free app to see if the functionality fits your individual business processes.
One thing I would like to see:
-The ability to add this to multiple pages or have a bunch of individual help centers on one site (EG. One for shipping/Product Info/etc)
Otherwise, very impressed and looking forward to building my content with this app!
It is a very easy interface to work with and no glitches at all
Easy to make a FAQ page. The only thing it's missing is the meta description. It would get 5 stars otherwise
Really direct and helpful. Super easy to use as a first timer. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting out!
Very simple and easy to use. Will sync to your site's theme which you don't always see in apps like this.
I used to love this app, but I just found out that if I want to continue adding new sections and categories to my FAQ page, then I'll need to upgrade to premium. From now on, the free version will only include one category and one section. This will basically force every user to use the premium version, since having only one section on the FAQ page is not very useful (unless you want your page to look totally unprofessional).
You say you will not charge existing users for the sections they have already created, as long as we don't uninstall the app. However, if we have some technical issues that require uninstalling and reinstalling the app (and we don't manage to reinstall within 48 hours), then we will have only one section on our FAQ page, just like new users, unless we pay up.
I understand that you need to make a living, but I'm quite pissed that you managed to ruin one of my favorite apps. If the free version included unlimited categories and sections (just like before), then it wouldn't seem like you are pushing your users to pay for the premium version.
Dear Polaris Baby,
Thank you for your feedback. We want to assure that all Help Center features and FAQ structure that you had before Premium plans launch remain you for FREE. If you need to change a structure or add more categories, sections to your FAQ page - you can add as many as you like for free in transition period (or if you'll need a prolongation of it - please let us know). And use upgraded structure now or later - according to your business needs.
We'd kindly like to pay your attention to app uninstallment and 48hours period: this comes from GDPR requirements and Shopify redact policy. It is general obligatory rule for all app developers to delete merchants and it's customers data after 48 hours when app is uninstalled. We understand the inconvenience that might be caused in such cases, but app developers have to follow these important Shopify requirements.
If you'll have any additional questions - please let us know (support@eoscity.com).
We'll be at your service.
kind regards -
Help Center team
I didn't use it yet, but i like it
Great app!! Easy to use. Thanks
Good looking and fast support! Maybe a little expensive for just a FAQ but well I think it is the best option available out there! :-)
