I had a terrible experience with the PH CSV Import & Inventory Update app. Not only did the app fail to meet my expectations, but the support team was also incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional in handling my issues. This CSV field mapping app is the best one I have tried on Shopify. It works the first time and the customer service is excellent. If you need something you can email and they will help you get it to work how you need it to. This app is much easier to use than it's competitors in the App Store. I highly recommend!
the good: easy to use, free if you're only doing a few products
the bad: doesn't honor templates, doesn't always get the draft/active status right, and only imports a single photo
Kind of a pain in the neck but it's marginally better than a plain csv import.
