A lot of scammers are reaching out through this platform using the shopify inbox as a way to contact the owner of the store. They are offering to assist new stores with "consider implementing the necessary changes to enhance our store's performance and visibility". Here's a concise breakdown of what needs to be addressed:
1. Reactivate and configure the disabled feature to restore full functionality and ensure seamless indexing by search engines.
2. Implement advanced on-page SEO strategies, including metadata optimization and structured data integration, to enhance organic visibility.
3. Generate and submit an updated XML sitemap to Google Search Console, ensuring expedited crawling and indexing of your store’s pages. And other suspicious activities.
I do not recommend - We have been getting explicit videos for a week on this app, and there is no way to block people via IP or other means, or a way to prevent people from uploading files. This individual just uses fake emails and floods our inbox. Like usual, Shopify support is not helpful. Exploring other apps.
Shopify make you log out automatically after a while, for security reasons I assume, even if you use is continiously. BUT they don't let you know you've been logged out. No notification or email. So you just go on with your day thinking its just noone atm that wants to chat. Then after a few days you get angry emails from customer who doesn't get a respsonse in the chat. Because shopify logged you out. Perfect.
Works well as a messaging service EXCEPT from the security of the app and zero protection from scammers and fake email use. Spammers can use fake emails to send messages and leave you endless spam and there is no way to stop them, leaving you sifting through spam to find your genuine customers.
The app needs an email verification system or an IP blocking capability to make it more secure. Because of this huge flaw, I give it a 1 star review.
The widget on the website crashes often and users are not able to use the widget.
can't get any users to be able to chat on this except for myself. poor interface.

We understand that this is frustrating as you should be able to receive notifications with sound for Inbox.
Within Inbox settings you can check that your "Push notifications (desktop and mobile)" are enabled. On your mobile device, you also need to have the sound notifications enabled under your general phone settings.

I can't get the Chat bubble to disappear from my website home page. It hides the language preference icon and makes navigation difficult. I've asked for help several times and have been waiting for an answer for a week, but nothing happens. I'm really disappointed. This application is neither user-friendly nor logical.
