i am not finding it usefull at the moment because I Use android an phone. I uninstalled it and i still have it on my store.Please help, i need it out.I would like to uninstall it permanently.
Update: We are happy to report that the Android version of Ping is coming very soon, so Android users can take advantage of Shopify Chat. You can sign up to be notified when it's available: https://www.shopify.com/ping. Just enter your email address and click "Join Waitlist".
I just downloaded this to try out but had a few ideas how it could be better. I realize it's a very new app. We're not going to use it in our shop for these reasons though we will be checking back to see if/when these options are made available later.
1. There isn't an option that allows you to just show the chat symbol without pulling up the chat. We don't want our website to be too invasive with popups so we'd only like the chat to show up if they click on the chat symbol.
2. There wasn't any option to customize the initial message it sends out automatically.
3. It would be nice to be able to upload our own profile pictures when they're chatting with us so that it seems more personal.
Seems good, but is it possible to be offline with the chat?
I like that it is free and I cant belive I have to use a minimum of 100 characters to write an review..
Works great and I'm so happy this exists now. It would be great if the customer got a red notification on the chat button showing they got a response from us if they closed the chat window

1 click install, easy to use. Great for online stores with an active customer base. Fb messenger only allows 33% of users to contact us, we are looking forward to more people using Shopify chat to contact us.

Shopify inbox is all spam. It’s a waste of time and detracts from actual customer engagement. Wish it were more reliable and could filter the bots out.
Hi, there. I understand how frustrating it can be to receive spam messages, and that your time is much better spent helping customers. You do have the option to block a conversation, though I know this can also be time consuming if you're receiving spam from multiple users. Très bonne application, mais j'ai un problème, sur mon site il y a plusieurs erreurs qui se mette dans la console due à votre application, et ceci nuit un peut au référencement naturel de google car le site pagespeed proposé par google le détecte et réduit en conséquence nos points de référencement sur le site . Je mets 3 étoiles en attendent que les problèmes soient réglés.
Sinon bonne application pour centraliser tous les clients, et possibilité d'avoir une application mobile.
Looks easy to set up and use but from client perspective the chat icon bugs everytime they try to initiate a chat. When they clic on the icon, it desepears and the website freeze completetly. It is so bad for client experience. How to avoid that? So for now i had to disable it.
Email notifications for every damn message sent! What a pain in the rear. HOW DO I SHUT THIS CRAP OFF?

I'm happy to let you know that you can control your notification settings within your Shopify Inbox App. Check out these steps: 1.) Login to your Shopify Admin. 2.) Access the 'Shopify Inbox' app from your admin. 3.) On the left hand menu, click the 'notification' menu item that appears underneath 'Inbox.' 5.) Scroll down to the 'Notification Triggers' section and un-check the email notification boxes. This should lead to a reduction in those annoying email notifications for you. -Imogen, Shopify Support
