King Product Options & Variant

Excellent app, free, no payment options, all free. The support is incredibly fast and responsive, 5 stars.

I used this app for a product that has more options than shopify offers by default. The customer support is really nice and the app is easy to use. Would recommend!

So far so good. Fast response from customer service.It is hard to imagine that this is a free app, which is simpler but more powerful than most paid apps, highly recommended! ! !

We needed an app to add multiple text boxes on specific products and this app is exactly what we needed. We had a little bit of trouble installing it and contacted Best which helped us solve the problems super fast. Highly recommend.

This app helped me grab customer input for customization of products and choosing dates to start their services! As a bonus it has helped me revamp some of my previous options that I have added with Shopify by adding swatches!
I sort of wish there was a way to see all items I have put customizations for and what they are (even if it is just a true false of it has date, it has color, it has text, it uses x template) so that way I can keep track of items that still need custom options or need to be updated with options. It is also possible that this app has that option, but I am not sure how to find it yet.

It really is a good app, but I knocked off a star for two reasons:

First, the dearth of documentation. The FAQ link goes to a table of contents, but all of the links (to faq.ymq.cool) appear to be dead, and have been since I installed the app.

Second, there is no visual indication of when a variant is sold out. Yes, you still see Shopify's "Sold Out," but the swatch looks like all the others. There are settings that let you load an image (via URL) and change the border for disabled variants, but they don't function. While this may sound like a minor issue, I know I find it frustrating to have to click a button before I can see if something is in stock—I want to know at a glance—and I'm concerned that my customers will feel the same way.

This message is both a review, and, since none of this is documented, a warning to those who may be trying to get the function to work that it's not you: It's a problem with the app.

That said, I know from reading other reviews and responses that this is a two-man operation and that they're creating and supporting numerous apps. This Product Options app adds a GREAT DEAL of functionality that Shopify does not natively, and it's clear that they have tweaked and added additional features based on customer input. I don't like to slam the creators who allow us to do things that Shopify does not—particularly for free!—and that is not my intention here, but I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong when, in fact, I wasn't. Hopefully this will save someone else that time.

I've been trying to find free and user friendly apps for customizing products and I'm so lucky to have found this! Used it and it definitely does the job!

i use this app to create different options, it has straight forward usability. I like that it has variant options for different product types so they can have it's own experiences.

So easy to use and is just what I need. It has allowed me to do my build a box on shopify. I rate this 5/5
