Klarna On‑Site Messaging

I don't leave negative reviews often, but after this experience I think other Shopify merchants deserve the warning.

I've spent weeks trying to get Klarna connected to my store. Shopify support confirmed my Merchant ID is valid and active on their end, so the problem sits with Klarna's own integration. The app fails to connect with an error every time.

Every time I've contacted Klarna support, the response has been automated: a bot sending links to generic setup documentation. None of it addresses a connection error with an already-confirmed Merchant ID, because it's all written for someone setting up the app for the first time, not someone whose setup is already failing. I've explained this repeatedly and gotten the same doc links back each time. No human has actually looked at the error.

So now I'm stuck in a loop: Shopify says the integration is Klarna's to fix, and Klarna's support system won't route me to a person who can fix it. Weeks in, still unresolved, still no reply from an actual human being.

If you're considering Klarna for your store, know that the moment something doesn't work as expected, you're on your own with a chatbot. I wouldn't build a checkout dependency on a payment provider whose support layer can't handle a problem that isn't in their FAQ.

The app is good but with paypal it cause a conflict and paypal button is not showing in the cart. I know it cause a problem because i contacted shopify support and they said that klarna is causing this issue, can anyone help?

Great way to advertise Klarna monthly payment plan on product page. Works nicely and automatically with Shopify Payments Klarna payment method. Took one star off as it lacks the ability to change if the text for the placement "credit-promotion-auto-size" is left, center or right. By default it is at center but for our store text to the left would've resulted in cleaner look.
