Used to be Great — Now Ruined by Greedy Pricing Changes
This app was easy to use and worked well — until they completely overhauled the pricing plans. The new plans are overpriced and offer less value. It’s frustrating to see a good app go down this path just to squeeze more money out of loyal users.
We were planning to expand by adding another country, but the new pricing made it a no-go. We've already started switching to an alternative that's free and powered by AI. Disappointing move by the developers.

IF you pay $34 per month they will try to solve your issues. When I decided to go for the basic plan as I din't need to spent so much and by mistake i changed the language switcher to the default option i couldn't even make it smaller. I didn't ask for any other changes apart from the size of it.
Obviously the one the provide with the basic plan is HUGE ON PURPOSE TO LOOK UGLY. Extremely frustrated and I am already searching to replace them. It's not even worthy the $10 they get at the moment.

I was offered 1 YEAR of free subscription in exchange for changing my review. However, after a long and frustrating communication with the LangShop team, it became clear that they do not truly understand the real issues I’m facing.
The app practically doesn’t work properly or doesn’t work at all. Automatic translations often fail or are incomplete. Sometimes translations get incorrectly duplicated or missing. The app’s behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable — only 10-30% of my newly created products are translated correctly. Even after explaining the problem many times in detail, their support still doesn’t grasp the core issues.
The process to fix or overwrite translations is complicated, slow, and inefficient. Adding glossary rules is a nightmare since it must be done manually for each language separately, and reapplying translations affects fields I don’t want to change.
The technical support responds quickly, which is the only positive thing, but unfortunately, they practically don’t help solve the real problems. When something requires developer intervention, you are often left without any answers.
The app itself is quite inconvenient and buggy. Automatic translation of products and collections does not work properly — sometimes it doesn’t translate at all, sometimes only partially, and sometimes it even inserts translations from other products without notifying you. The app shows these products as “translated,” but you only realize the problem when you check the product in the target language.
The glossary management is very inconvenient. You have to add each rule separately for every language. In other apps, you can add glossary rules once and apply them across all languages if needed, which is much more practical.
Also, the default sorting of products inside the app is “old products first.” To find and translate newly added products, you need to apply the “new first” filter, but applying this filter on 800+ products can take up to two minutes. Worse, the filter resets while you select products, so you have to apply it repeatedly — and with 9 languages to manage, it’s a nightmare.
The team asks me repeatedly how I create products, but I always do it the same way — their app just can’t handle normal workflows. Their answers are often excuses, and I had to find my own workaround because their developers apparently can’t or won’t fix the bugs quickly. Months have passed, and “near future” updates still don’t arrive.
I subscribed to the “advanced” plan for $75 when old pricing was still valid, assuming unlimited usage, but honestly, it’s not worth it. Especially considering their current astronomical price of $500 per month.
In short, the app causes more problems than it solves, and support is unhelpful and defensive. I’m actively searching for an alternative and do not recommend LangShop.
The only positive aspect is the polite and respectful customer support, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

As for the glossary rules for multiple languages at once — our developers are scheduled to begin work on this at the end of May and we expect the implementation to take approximately 1.5 weeks.
Lastly, in regard to applying glossary rules to a specific section only — this is a more complex feature, and currently we do not have a set timeline. However, the team is evaluating possible approaches, and we’ll keep you posted on any progress.

Really not recommended.
Maybe when you are on the advanced plan it's better, but instead of that, it's a big fail.This app is a joke for me. I don't recommend it.

Please let me clarify that the free LangShop engine does indeed have basic translation quality.
However, I would like to point out that the application provides you with the option to use the pro engines ( Google, DeepL, and OpenAI) with the better translation quility. Translations with these engines are more accurate than with the free engine.

I have not had a good experience with this application and therefore do not recommend it. After uninstalling it is not possible to delete the code that the app adds to the store template. The solution they offer me is that I contact the team responsible for the development of the template so that they can solve the problem for me. Incredible solution.

The upgrade to Version 2 has been a total disaster for us. We can no longer use our export/import app Matixify. Trying to download our products using their export/import feature and it is estimating it will take at least 48 days to complete. So far it has been running for 4 days. We now have to get a new and better language app.

This software is quite expensive but the service is poor. most cases no working well and answers always like machine, you have to spend a lot time to learn and ask and wait by yourself.

Very little support. The translations to spanish were poor and we had too many edits that it wasn't worthwhile. Moreoever, once we deleted the app, it screwed up checkout of many of our products. They were unable to provide a full uninstall and told us to hire a web developer to fix their broken app. I was shocked this app is still on shopify app store.

Also, we already figured out with you and Shopify support, that it was not our app which screwed up the checkout page. From our side, we've provided you with the guide how to fully remove our app from the store.

*** UPDATE : They say that their customer service is available 24/7, but since I've left this review, they've removed any chat/support contact button from my account, as revenge. Considering the fact that you cannot do any change without the help of customer service, based on this non-user friendly app, I'm telling you, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS APP.
Made one of the biggest wrong decision by choosing this app. Now most of my translations is stuck with this app, and if I were able to read the reviews before, I would have chosen differently. Been using this app for about 6 months. EVERY time we want to update anything, because the software is the opposite of user-friendly, we have to ask customer service, who respond 50% of the time, and when they do, they usually tell you that there's nothing they can do on their end, so you should just figure it out yourself. If you want to bulk edit more than 5 products, you need to use their import/export feature, which takes about 5-7 days to import, and 5-7 days to export. So hopefully you're in no rush, because it will take a decade to get your bulk changes in place. Every time you change something on the main version of the website, you'll have to go directly into your website code, to figure out where it's precisely located in the code of your theme, to then locate it in their app. There's no way to just type a word and they will tell you where the translation is - almost need a degree in computer science to get this working. I've received threat of removing the app if I left a bad review, which I'm doing anyway, since I'm fed up with everything. Also why you won't see a lot of negative reviews - they will remove any of your content if you leave a negative review of their app. Do yourself a favor, and don't choose this app, there's a million other one, and I wish someone would have told me this before I choose this one.

Very bad experience, as after installing the app, customer support asked for staff account to see why the new version is not working, but i found later that a change in the HTML code of the original theme took place, so when i uninstall their app, i found the original theme text is completely flipped, and then i found the piece of code added for this reason, if it is intentionally or not, in all cases they should get my permission for any code change, also when i uninstall the app they should tell me and answer me that they changed the code
