I have now tried the 3 most popular apps. I have finally found the app that can do what I need. However, I could not have done it without the excellent and competent support employee called Dan. I told him what I had in mind, and he explained the complete solution to me properly within seconds. We receive daily low stock reports to our email addresses with a detailed CSV product breakdown. The developers are very responsive to input and fixes.
