We installed this app to connect Amazon and Walmart marketplaces to our Shopify store. Unfortunately, we were unable to link our products. We opened a support case on the 15th of July, and despite assurances that Marketplace Connect's developers were working to fix our issue, almost a month later and we still have not had a response.

Shopify Marketplace Connect is holding back our business due to poor support, forcing us to look for alternatives.

It doesn't work properly.
I have connected my Shopify with eBay account and some of the items on Shopify have sold out but they are still showing as available on eBay.
I have deactivated an item on Shopify and manually removed it from eBay as it did not get removed automatically and it kept getting re-listed for some reason so I had to keep removing it until I was forced to permanently remove the listing from Shopify to stop it from being re-listed on eBay

After investigation we found out that our inventory with Amazon is not sync correctly. Contacted support and they said that they only update inventory when Shopify have quantity updated, but if order placed on Amazon directly then they don't update quantity on Shopify unless you turn on order sync as well. Now we have to process inventory count to fix quantity that wasn't updated, and it's hours of work.

We want to clarify that Marketplace Connect is designed to update inventory in Shopify when there is a quantity change in Shopify itself.

For orders placed directly on Amazon, the inventory update on Shopify requires the order to be synced to your store.

The inventory decrement is triggered by the action of pushing the order to Shopify, ensuring that all sales channels are accurately updated.

Had to migrate over to connect after codisto was discontinued. The negative reviews were spot on. My steady Amazon sales are gone. Most of my listings went to error and are now inactive. It's a complete guessing game how to correct. Hours with chat and on phone with Customer service. Got brushed off by service tech. Said I needed to escalate my issue to another department and I would be contacted via email and call within 24 hours. Neither happened. Marketplace Connect is not easy and not for people without extensive training. Even the Techs at Connect can't get my Shopify listings to connect to Amazon

I was forced to migrate from a perfectly working app to this "new" one, and it's been nothing but problems ever since. The lack of support is infuriating and unacceptable.

My main issues are:

I cannot see my products.
I cannot link my products.
My entire shop is out of sync, and I don't have the time to fix problems that this app caused.

Please fix my shop immediately.

I would definitely NOT recommend this app! It is NOT user friendly. The support was crappy and did not help at all. Will be using other apps instead. Shopify should ensure support is alot better and the app easier to use. It just did not work for me. Very disappointing.

Be careful, this app doesn’t restock items after order cancellation. With each cancellation, you’ll accumulate physical stock that won’t be reflected on the website. We are increasingly considering making something else the primary source of inventory instead of Shopify, as it has too many inconveniences.

Our app is designed this way, if an order has been sent to Shopify and is canceled on the marketplace, the corresponding order in Shopify is also canceled.

However inventory levels remain unaffected. The cancellation does not result in the product being restocked. This behavior is deliberate considering the possible reasons for cancellation, (for example, unable to fulfil due to damaged or missing stock).

The reason is not provided to us from the marketplace. If Shopify Marketplace was to restock the product, that risks overselling an item that is potentially unavailable.

Short review: App is slow, buggy, and may lead to your eBay account and Walmart account being suspended. Avoid this app.

Detailed review: I hate to leave a 1 star review but need to express how frustrating our experience with Marketplace Connect support has been. We switched over to using this app months ago and got our eBay sync set up to our account we've been selling from since 1998. Our account is now on a warning to get the seller rating up due to all of the cancellations we've had to do since using this app. It has constant sync issues with our Shopify inventory. If we sell something in store? It may take days, if ever (seriously) for it to update on our eBay store. Naturally this leads to regularly overselling items.

That's after you can get past the VERY slow UI on Marketplace Connect's end for setting things up. The Walmart connection is even slower to navigate, but at least, so far, that sync is stable. To their credit, they have improved the navigation on the eBay side some since we started using it, and I suspect a large part of their issue is that they just are not optimized for stores such as ours with hundreds of thousands of SKU's.

We've regularly provided support with updates on oversells and sync issues. They are always very fast to respond (kudos to the 1st level support group!). But they never have answers. We have zero communication from them other than when we send over a new example. No updates what-so-ever. After months. So when we do ask for an update on the underlying issue, 1st level support says the ticket is still with the engineering team and there is no further update to provide.

I feel like we've given support ample time to fix their issues, or at least *COMMUNICATE* with us on a regular basis to know what to expect. We've had to put our eBay account into vacation mode at this point and seek alternative options.

Edit: It's been well over a month and we've since found a different app from the eBay sync (Lionz) where all is working smoothly. In that month, the Marketplace Connect support has had one single response to our long open ticket. It was a promise from one of their developers that they would be looking into our ticket further, and that they would stay in touch. Not a word since then. So for anyone having similar issues, please check out Lionz instead. They are eBay sync only for now, but actually work well for that portion.

Second edit:

We continued using Marketplace Connect to sync with Walmart. It worked for a few months, but now sadly suffers from all of the same issues we ran into with the eBay connection. Items sold in store do not get removed from Walmart, leading to oversells days, weeks, even months later. App support is not helpful. They just thank us for the bug report submissions, but nothing gets fixed or communicated beyond that. So we are divesting ourselves entirely from this app and moving on.

Was working OK,( the shopfiy makeover after they absorbed the app was a complete disaster ), but now our inventory is not syncing for days - we are now overselling 6-8 items on ebay everyday. They have been unable resolve the situation for several weeks now. We have to scramble to restock items, or refund purchases. Hours of our time wasted, and we look like amateurs who don't know how to run a business. And it is not cheap. Looking for alternatives.
