I had some big frustrations, but eventually figured out the problems were mostly with Shopify, not Modalyst. Actually, there was only ONE problem with Modalyst, a glitch in the app that got fixed within hours of reporting it.. I think they should disconnect from Shopify, here's why:
1. Using the 25% rule*, they could eliminate the headache of ecommerce novices who end up finding out Shopify may not be any more convenient than ecommerce platforms available through regular web hosting. In fact, Shopify can be quite limiting for some business models.
2. Applying the same rule as above, I suspect the limiting nature of Shopify on certain business types is also limiting the quality of their independent name brands. Some of them are great, but variety could be better. Integrating with the other major ecommerce platforms could open up more high-quality independent vendors for their dropshippers.
*The 25% rule: Increase your quality/prices/expectations by 25% thereby eliminating 75% of negative experiences in your business transactions.
Would be good to have more premium products that ship to Australia.
Its a shame the brands are targeted to the US only.
Otherwise, the independent brands are not bad but they are limited especially limited in their locations.
But, the app is great and offers variety so I am happy, thankyou!
I am new to the Dropshipping business, but Modalyst has been a great help with their selection of suppliers and Brand name products. I like to have the ability to have suppliers that are in the US. Being new I have only made 1 sale and didn't receive any feedback on the products, so I held back from a 5-star rating. With the Chrome extension importing products is a breeze. Like any system, there are improvements that can be made but for now, it's more than adequate for my needs, looking forward to future updates and added suppliers. I would recommend Modalyst to anyone.
I look like really nice products but i'm just starting to use the app so I'm not sure how it'll work out

ITS QUICK AND EASY ITO JOIN ITS A GREAT IDEA TO IMPROVE YOUR STORE AND EARN GOOD MONEY...
PS I WILL RATE 5 STARS WHEN I START SELLING
They have a decent amount of options for product, and I like the filter choices when looking at products. Super convenient to be able to filter based on where item is being shipped from, price and many others. Thinking about trying one of the paid plans to be able to get more products and better prices. I would give 5 stars but prices seem a little high.
i give this app 4 stars because their products are way better than dumb ali express. and the shipping is way faster too. i havent finished my website to make a sale so idk the process but at this point i would assume they deserve the full 5 stars
So far, I like using Modalyst. I especially like the fact I can control where I get my products. Modalyst helps keep the details simple and so far seem to ensure quality type products for drop-shippers to choose from. My only complaints are that the products can be a bit pricey from the suppliers, making it hard to be price competitive. Also as an online store owner of women's apparel, its hard to find urban wear and appealing outfits for plus size women. Other than those things I had planned to make Modalyst my only product source channel.
I am a first time user... App needs a back button, as only goes back when I click twice and then I need to click forward once again to get to my original search page. Also slow to refresh but that could be the weather... Enjoying otherwise so far.
Checked many apps and Modalyst seem to have better selections and photos for the products. Price is a bit expensive, but i might be worth it. I'll give it a try
