I am not sure why all the hype. I personally had the worst experience ever after switching from MailChimp, or rather trying to switch. The customer service is nonexistent, that's how unresponsive they are. I had a simple problem and after their initial suggestion I had to wait for two days didn't work, the support simply disappeared - NO ANSWER at all. Basically the app is way worse than MailChimp, there is no obvious way to set up any other account access, every person on your store has their own account and can screw things up from their free account with no way to fix it from yours, you have to keep switching between to find out who did what if the staff is not admitting it. It's simply atrocious so far and ever so clunky. I haven't tried to send anything yet and not sure I want to, after this initial clusterwhatever.

As for the user right management, we truly appreciate your feedback. The team is currently working on this feature to ensure you have a possibility to differentiate what information might be visible for a particular user and empower the right person for your account. We expect to release this new feature very soon, by the end of Q2!
Cannot even get their own Reactivation Automated Reactivation Campaigns going. Two months and still not anywhere nearer getting this resolved....I cannot really recommend them and would actually move to Klaviyo. PLUS they themselves don't know how their system works AND even worse, they overcharge you so watch your bills!!! PS: And to answer to their reply - AFTER several months and continuous pushing they made it finally work. It is NOT beginner friendly, not logical at all and if you have one tag wrong the whole campaign isn't working. So thanks for your very useless reply to my review. totally appreciate you have wasted hours of my life I could have happily invested into something else more productive.

I just want to send a simple email to my clients. I started the process, but it is VERY complicated. Beware that this is not a simple way to just send your clients an email. Damn you shopify!
DAY 2 - ugh I just want to send an email to my clients. ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. I have been on shopify support 4 times, and they do their best, but without support from Soundest, they can't do anything. Soundest support is NON-EXISTENT - I've sent them about 25 messages. If you want to send emails to your client base, DO NOT USE THIS APP.
I was using Mailchimp and I decided to switch to Omnisend because I thought it was better for Shopify (note: and it's more expensive). For the past two or three months, my sales have dropped, half of my customers don't get the emails, I had problems with the sync between other small issues. The support changes all the time so you never speak with the same person and every new person answers you a random answer.
I asked to speak on the phone with someone in order to solve all this issues and they have no phone support.
This app was a very poor choice.

Non-existent support, in my case they have not answered me. The automation for abandoned carts is not working, the mails are not received
We apologize you did not get a response on time. Our service provider reported a problem where some of our emails were not delivered to our clients within the past few weeks. 違反によるアカウントの停止を解除するのにメルマガ読者を削除してどのツールでどのように削除したか結果のスクリーンショットを要求されます。
結局1通もメルマガを出すこともなく返金もされませんでした。
残念です。

Sending an email to non-existent contacts, spam traps, or other potential bounces may cause severe harm to our sending servers, and future deliverability of our clients' campaigns. That is why whenever the system catches bad recipients, it automatically pauses the account, and a campaign until the issue is fixed.
Our support team reached out to you, but unfortunately did not get any reply from you. Your account was paused from sending, because too many contacts bounced from the email campaign you sent. In order to fix this, you need to review your contact list, and clean it. You can reach out to support@omnisend.com and our team would be happy to help you with cleaning.
Increased price to $132 without notice. $100 more than what I was previously paying. Customer service is terrible. Their website provides false information/advertising.

Indeed, we see that your plan did increase, but please keep in mind that our billing system works as follows:
Each billing day we calculate how many subscribers and non-subscribers you have in your Audience → this puts you in a price tier, which is the fee that we charge.
Previously, you were charged for 2,607 billable contacts up until September, your audience then increased to 9,286 billable contacts thus increasing the price you were charged.
We understand how overwhelming it can be to face such increment in your billing, but if you should feel the need to decrease such fee, we always recommend segmenting inactive contacts and unsubscribing them to avoid such increase.

Not beginner friendly AT ALL! I couldn't access the full visual of what I was editing. It's not clearly simple to send to one subscriber as oppose to ALL subscribers.

I am sorry to have revise this review but we wasted so much time and money I want to make other shop owners aware. It all started very well, we had conversions and it is very easy to set up. The app is nice, the marketing plan is very good. However, and this is a big issue, it does not provide double opt in! THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM! Who at this day and age, doesn't have a double opt in option?! Please read on.
Our shop has been hit with a huge number of bot/fake customer subscriptions. It's nearly impossible to tell which is real and which is not inside the app, the emails are real but they are not subscribed by the address owners. We paid another service to have the email list checked, many of the fake subscriptions returned valid email addresses. The only clue is the subscriber name, which is not visible on the dashboard. Actually, very little information is available on the app dashboard.
We had our account suspended 3 times and were on the verge of being blacklisted with high percentages of bounces and complaints. Although the rep is excellent, they seemed to not think this was a big deal.
I personally spent 2 weeks trying to figure out what was going on. Waste of my very scarce time, and money.
We have our own domain, they told me that DNS records were not necessary at the beginning. Not knowing why we had such problems with our list's deliverability, I asked for the records to change the settings with the Registrar in hopes this would help. All other email marketing companies we worked with in the past (we've been on line since 1998) will provide this for free. They charged us an extra $59.00 for it and obviously, it doesn't solve the problem.
We had to move our list to another provider with the holiday season just starting. Spent hours manually cleaning it up as we don't send unsolicited emails. We LOST OVER 500 legitimate SUBSCRIBERS when we moved to another service, which requires double opt in. Since I had just sent a newsletter days before, guess they thought confirming was not necessary. These were actual returning customers, some had been with us for years.
It's a shame because the marketing plan is good, but the email list managing is very lacking and the support seems to think nothing is a real issue. It hasn't stopped the bots but at least those subscriptions don't get confirmed and are not sent emails.
We had just paid for the monthly app charge and the DNS records. When I asked for a partial refund (it was just a gesture after this mess), they denied it.
It took me almost a week to complete the move because of the outage, otherwise we would have uninstalled immediately. Yes, all this went down during the big outage in October 2016. It was a nightmare.

I love this app! It does everything you need for ideal email marketing. Great customer support, super easy to set up and run, easy to create campaigns, automated flows that bring results. Reasonably priced too! Only wish there was a bit more customization to the sign up forms (pop up and page) but I'm pretty sure it won't be long before these are added. If you know a bit of code you can do it, I just don't know enough to do it on my own. Other than that it's perfect. Try it out - I'm pretty sure you will love it too. I tried to send my first email campaign today - which is time critical - and when I tried to send it, it suddenly said my account is suspended. No information on that during the two hours I worked on the campaign. Also, no way to resolve this except email support. My emails were collected via opt-in, my store is GDPR compliant and running well. What else do they want? No idea. But my campaign for today seems ruined. Can't recommend this business. If you suspend people's accounts, you need better notification and resolution options. This isn't good enough.
