We’ve been using Opinew for quite a while, and in the past, it worked great. The integration with Shopify was seamless, Amazon product links imported flawlessly, and the overall performance was solid. That’s why we opted for one of the higher-tier plans – spending over €1500 per year.
Unfortunately, things have taken a serious downturn. The app is no longer properly integrated with Shopify, all Amazon product links have vanished, and the import feature either doesn’t work at all or is severely limited. General performance has become sluggish and unreliable.
What’s worse is the support: despite being on the second-highest plan, we receive no helpful answers. Our concerns about poor performance and questions about upcoming improvements are simply ignored.
For the price we’re paying, this is unacceptable. We used to love Opinew, but sadly, we can no longer recommend it – neither for functionality nor for customer service. We’re already exploring alternatives.
We are a paying customer (Starter). Amazon import reviews does NOT work properly.
Everything else works fine, but Amazon import reviews doesn't work well. We have had this issue several times in the past, and now again.
We have raised the issue 2 weeks ago to Support, and the only answer we get is "our technical team is working on it, we will solve it asap". 2 weeks already. Disappointing. As said, everything else works fine, but not the Amazon imports.

Unfortunately, many of the challenges stem from Amazon's restrictions, which we are required to follow. That said, we recognize the importance of this feature and are actively working on a new importing method that will be released within the next month.

It is fairly easy to import reviews from eBay but I couldn't find a way to import these from Etsy and Trustpilot so I guess the app is unable or the feature is a hidden paid feature. The reviews widget design on the product page is poor and ugly. Trying this after trying the Fera.ai app didn't help as their backend is more intuitive and the frontend design is miles better without the unnecessary "powered by" on the customer reviews widget.
I left the original review at the bottom, but needed to update. We left Opinew in 2023 because it lacked some features and integrations we needed as we grew. After a year on Loox, we needed features they didn't support so came back to see how Opinew has evolved. Wow, how a year changes things... Endless technical issues and Opinew has now outsourced support. Their support is subpar to put it nicely. If you're just using the basic features, it may be alright but there's a plethora of other review apps at a much better rate. If you operate a real business and not just a hobby, stay away.

Love the app but love the service even more. Onboarding is a breeze, they walk you through all the features and help configure the settings around your goals during the setup. Support is immediate - we found a bug and their team had it fixed within a few hours. Highly recommend

Update: I had an issue with the app not reporting billing correctly and then found that when my three month discount ended I had been overcharged by around £4 for that month. I asked them to look into it and the reporting bit was fixed but the overcharge remained and after the fix I had lost the additional 500 imports we'd agreed when we signed on. I had no reply about either the overcharge or the loss of additional imports. Confidence was gone and so we cut our losses and uninstalled. Have also found its a messy uninstall with lots of code elements left in the theme. A disappointing end for what seemed like a really promising app.

This app is great for pulling in product reviews from other sources (Amazon in our case) and it also has solid automation for review requests and plenty of options of display. What really sets it apart though is the customer service - we have an issue trying to install one of the widgets with out theme and Haris at Opinew tech support had it sorted within minutes - incredible service!

Errors in the app (when trying to save any changes), font sizes are written i rem (not standard font sizes) and the product image in the email sent to customers are squashed. Have asked for help which has taken days without any resolution.
