The app is not working for one week, and the support team is not very helpful.
Hi there,
We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience with our app and understand how frustrating it must have been. Unfortunately, our support team was unavailable over the weekend, which affected our ability to assist you sooner.
You mentioned that the app hasn’t been working for a week, though we noticed that your first request came in on Friday. Have you had a chance to clear your browser cache and cookies? This is a common solution that often resolves issues like the one you're experiencing.
Our support team has sent you detailed instructions via email to help resolve the issue. Please reply to that email if you need further assistance. We’re committed to getting this resolved as quickly as possible and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Pics.io Support Team
Useless - This starts are $50 Per month. They claim it is free on the app store page, but no element of this is free whatsoever. Not only is $50 a month just ridiculous, it is clearly done to avoid paying any fees via the shopify app store. This app did nothing but waste my valuable time installing and making an account and confirming the account blah blah just to be met with a "choose your subscription" page. Useless, Do not bother installing.
Dear Customer,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about our app. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Let us address your concerns point by point so that others don't get confused:
- Free Access: The app is indeed free for our main app's clients as it serves as an add-on to Pics.io DAM. There is a free trial version available and designed to help non-Pics.io users determine if our app meets their specific business needs and use cases. After the trial, non-Pics.io users can choose to subscribe to one of our plans to continue enjoying the app's full range of features.
- Pricing Structure: We want to clarify that the $50 per month is not intended to circumvent any Shopify app store fees. The reason behind the separate app and pricing is due to Pics.io being primarily a comprehensive digital asset management software. The Shopify app is an extension of our main product, developed and introduced based on the specific requests and needs of our customers.
- Account Setup and Subscription Selection: We regret to hear that your initial experience with our app did not meet your expectations and seemed to consume your valuable time. It seems that there might have been a misunderstanding regarding the process of requesting a free trial during the sign-up. We would like to rectify this and offer you the assistance you need to get started. If you're willing, please provide us with your email address so we can guide you through setting up your free trial or contact us via chat support.
Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any more questions or need further assistance.
Warm regards.
This is anything but free. The fact that they want a monthly subscription to upload bulk images is bonkers. I'd pay a one time fee of $50 but these greedy developers want that once a month.. beat it.
There's no way this app could be unsubscribed. I've already uninstalled the app but they're still charging me. And now I need to install the app again to see how I could unsubscribe and I saw that I've already done so as stated in the billing page. And I've contacted them via email and no one responded to me....I'm so helpless. Could someone from Pics.io see this message and help me? I don't wanna pay non-stop while I just need this services for one time. And I dunno why they charge me $30 when the plan says it's only $18 per month.....I wonder if this app is a scam which doesn't allow people to unsubscribe.
Hey there,
We're really sorry to hear about the trouble you had with unsubscribing and the billing issues.
Even though it's been a while since you left the comment, we'd like to shed some light on the situation to help others understand the pricing model. Our plugin is part of the Solo and higher plans of our Pics.io DAM platform. To stop the charges, you need to cancel the subscription with Pics.io DAM, not just the plugin on the Shopify end. We understand this might have been a bit confusing, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience it has caused.
Regarding the support team's reaction: our team typically replies within 24 hours via email, and we assume you left the comment earlier and got contacted later after that.
Also, let us address the pricing-related complaint: our previous pricing for the Solo plan started at $18 per month. It sounds like the additional $12 might be for the 'website functionality' feature that wasn't necessary for making the plugin work. We can certainly help adjust your plan if that feature isn’t needed and you didn't intend to buy it.
We're here to make things right and ensure you only pay for what you need.
Best regards,
Pics.io Support Team
First the app is not Free. It is a Free trial period. Second It does not bulk import images from Goggle Photo to your shopify site. All images must go to the pics.io site before they can be bulk imported to your site. Yep an extra step that they charge you for. Expensive and time consuming.
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of our service didn't meet your expectations, and we'd like to clarify a few things to help improve your experience.
Firstly, our app does indeed offer a free version, but it comes with certain limitations. You can match up to 20 images for free, which is great for small tasks or trying out the service. We understand the importance of transparency about this, and we're sorry if there was any confusion regarding the free trial and its limits.
However, we acknowledge that for more than 20 images, a subscription starting at $50 per month is required, and we're continually working to provide value and efficiency with our pricing and features.
Regarding the bulk import of images: it’s not necessary to move images to Pics.io before importing them to your Shopify store for those who store product data in Google Drive / Amazon S3. Pics.io can pull the data from Google Drive / Amazon S3 automatically.
We do not support direct sync from Google Photos as it's stated in our documentation. We strive to be clear about the features and limitations of our service, and we regret any misunderstanding about the supported platforms.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve and better meet the needs of our users. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@pics.io.
Best regards,
Pics.io Support Team
Not Free. Please, don't mislead people. Besides, customer service is zero. I could not find a way to contact your customer service.
Hello,
We're sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback.
Our app does indeed offer a free version, which allows you to match up to 20 images. We understand this may not meet everyone's needs, but it's designed to give you a taste of what's possible with our service.
We apologize if it wasn't clear how to reach our customer service. You can contact support by clicking the 3 horizontal dots on the right side within the plugin interface and then the 'Get Support' button. We're also excited to share that our design team is working on a plugin redesign to make the support button more prominent and accessible.
We're here to help and improve based on your feedback.
Best regards,
