Mobile App Builder ‑ Plobal

If you are looking for a cheap out-of-the-box mobile app solution, this one is by far the best. We started with a different app, but found its limited features, iOS only option, and non SDK function just didn't make having an app worthwhile. In fact, we just got negative feedback from app users saying "why bother?" And while i would be nice to afford a custom purpose-built app, we couldn't justify the spend.

Enter Plobal Apps, offering both Android + iPhone (we are still hoping iPad will be added soon), SDK checkout for in-app purchases, a nice, simple "less is more" product and category display which really suits our store graphics, and after sales service that is literally second to none.

To say Plobal have gone to extreme lengths to give us the best possible mobile app is an understatement. They have responded quickly, and positively to every single request we have made, and our store interface is not an easy one. They have managed to incorporate spring loaded tabs, variant options, google fonts, and more.

Khadija, you are worth every dollar Plobal is paying you. Nothing has phased her, and no request or enquiry has gone unanswered for more than an hour or so. And that is taking into account vast global time differences for us. She is bright, cheery, knowledgable, and genuinely wants your app to be a huge success.

The cost of many Shopify-compatible apps is another issue. I cannot understand the extremely high price demanded by so many apps – our monthly app bill is staggering – and something we regularly monitor and discuss. Plobal Apps is not cheap, and the jury is still out as to whether the cost is actually recovered in sales, or its just a cool way for millennials to shop. But any other mobile app is also going to cost the same, or more, and a custom-built app, well that's just another league.

So in all, I would highly recommend Plobal Apps as the best out-of-the-box mobile app for Shopify by a long way. I am very happy to give it 5 stars.

Plobal has been a game changer to our Shopify Plus business. Plobal gives us the tools to be successful. Yes, it is a lot of work to find creative ways to promote the app and get installs. Don't expect the app to generate sales on its own and be wildly successful. 3 weeks of hard work, a rockstar CSM - shoutout to Rahul, and continuously testing ideas is what will change your business. By far the best investment we have made. Within 3 weeks of actively promoting the mobile app, the app is already responsible for over 10% of our revenue. It is incredible. AOV is up 38% compared to our website. Retention rates are much better than sms - and push notifications are free! I don't think Rahul ever sleeps - we exchange ideas as late as 2am or as early as 6am some days and he is always very responsive. I can tell he genuinely cares about the success of our business. Plobal has been a great partner to work with and we highly recommend them to any merchant looking for explosive growth. The biggest advice I have for other merchants considering a mobile app is to worry less about what the app looks like and to focus on ways to get installs.

When we were on BigCommerce we paid an outside company $25,000 to develop an app and paid a monthly fee based on the number of orders. When we switched to Shopify we were planning on paying for a new custom app and were only going to use Plobal as a temporary solution. One of our employees in marketing who is not a programmer set up our app in a few days and had it going with no developer assistance. The app is better looking and more functional than the one we paid thousands of dollars for and we'll be sticking with Plobal. Neil and Rohit and the team offer excellent support. We do hundreds to thousands of orders a day on sales days and the app has absolutely no problems with it. If you are looking for a scaleable, beautiful, but easy to set up app, this is the solution for you.
