Honestly, I’m very disappointed with this app. I’ve actually used it before for another website and didn’t notice anything suspicious back then, but now it’s clear they’re using a pretty shady practice.
During signup, the GROWTH plan is pre-selected without any clear warning or confirmation. Instead of setting the FREE plan as the default (which would be the fair and logical choice), they automatically push the more expensive option without the user’s knowledge or consent.
I consider this a complete rip-off. This kind of tactic to trick users into paying is unprofessional and destroys any trust. I only realized what happened afterward, which makes it even worse. My web was on pause and build for 10.00 dollars so when I got the bill for 35.00 dollars i was shocked! I did not even started and would have NEVER sign up for 29.00 dollars subscrition before even starting selling.
Definitely would not recommend this app until they change this practice and give a full refund!
Hi there! Thanks for your review, I just wanted to clarify a couple of points:
All users receive 90 days of the Growth plan completely free, with no subscription required. Just install the app and get unlimited usage of everything for 90 days.
After those 90 days, once you enter the app you’re prompted to either activate the Growth plan subscription (which includes an additional 30-day free trial) or switch to the Free plan.
This means that most users are getting at least 120 days of unlimited usage of every feature for completely free.
Importantly, we cannot bill anyone unless they manually activate the subscription. There’s no way for us to charge a store without that explicit action being taken which happens after the 90 days.
It seems your store was on pause and build so it's possible that you didn't get a chance to use the app. In that case, we'd be happy to add additional free months, just reach out to our 24/7 support team.
We hope that it's evident that our intention isn't to scam or be shady!

The app makes you approve a spending limit of 999$ or MORE !
I don't recommend, be aware ! You can go directly to the wall with them !
Update Feb 19, 2026: Since this review, we’ve made an important change to how billing caps are structured. Instead of showing a universal $999 cap, we now automatically set a personalized billing cap based on a store’s estimated traffic. For most stores, this cap will be $129. Note that the vast majority of merchants remain on our $29 plan tier.

Our pricing scales with store traffic, and the vast majority of merchants remain on our $29 plan. Only a small number of very large enterprise stores ever reach the top tier.

Rude support team. I spoke with Mo about a certain feature which they dont have and it seems manners aren't something their support team are trained on. Uninstalled the app after that first contact with their rude support. With regards to the app, you cant set multiple choice buttons on the popup and track clicks to each option. Quite a basic popup app and pretty easy to use. But if you need something more, it doesnt work and the support team arent great to talk with.
The app was great for a while, but just disappeared. My shop says that the app is still installed, but there's just a blank screen. I have no idea how long the pop-up hasn't been popping up.... :(

I've been using the Pop Convert app to create pop-ups and banners for my Shopify store, but it's been a frustrating experience. The app doesn't send any email notifications, which is a major issue for running a business efficiently. I can't be expected to check daily if the emails are working—there should be a system in place to notify users of any issues, but instead, we're left in the dark.
Customer support has been equally disappointing. When I reached out about the email problem, there was little to no help. As a business owner, I need reliable tools that work seamlessly, and unfortunately, this app has fallen short. Would not recommend.
We're so sorry you experienced this. Our email functionality was temporarily disabled due to spammers using our app to send spam emails. We've since resolved the issue and put further safeguards in place to protect our systems. Please get back to us via live chat so that we can make this right for you.
The app's top banner loads 3 seconds later than the other elements, making the design look unprofessional. I contacted support to fix the issue, but they insisted it was loading fine when it clearly isn’t. Instead of addressing the problem, they dismissed my concern. If you're looking for real support, this app is not the right choice.

Wasn't able to generate a single lead, as the opt-in mail wasn't send. I informed support, but after more then a month, they did not come with a solution
Bad support. My website got flagged as spam and none of the customer support cared to find a solution. Everyone of them kept saying "we're checking and we will update you" but even after literal days went by none ever reached out. At a point they told me they fixed my issue but they actually fixed nothing, and after telling them the issue was still there they told me they couldn't fix my issue..???
