Privy ‑ Pop Ups, Email, & SMS

We have tested out several other similar apps and we chose to roll with Privy for the following reasons:

1) Privy works on mobile - Check
2) Privy looks great and easy to use - Check
3) Privy reporting metrics are easy to understand - Check
4) Privy sync’s with other mail app’s - Check
5) They have a very unique banner option that we really enjoyed testing out. A lot of other apps have similar feature sets, but we really fell in love with one of Privy’s banner sets. Yes, great design can tilt the pendulum.

**Bonus**: Offer codes that can only be used once or for first-time purchases.

If there was a single drawback ( and this is 100% manageable one if you have patience ) the backend isn’t the easiest to navigate. It looks very un-intimidating with the colors and fonts, but the UX/UI is slightly confusing with all of the tabs inside a campaign having their own set of options that open in different pages. You can sometimes forget where certain actions are to adjust or change.

This is par for the course though, and any e-commerce owner should understand this more then the common person. The Privy team needs to see where the pain points are and I am sure they will adjust the app accordingly.

For the robust feature sets provided by Privy, and the well designed easy to set up mobile compatible opt-in banners, I think it would be hard to find a better option out there that would suit our needs.

Useful for emailer signups. I've been using this for a year. Works well, no issues so far. Running different campaigns for a/b tests is helpful.

I use this app to help me capture emails with a discount code. Still learning but seems to work well.

It would be nice to see a little more of what the app can do before having to sign up and I can't figure out how to preview how my campaign runs. Seems like it could be a great tool. Also when receiving an email after an order is received and submitting a review it does not post to my store.

So far so good. I haven't used this long enough to have a valid opinion. Check back in 3 months, I'm sure I'll have something to say then.

Your app was recommended by Sendinblue as a good way to integrate on Shopify. We are going to give it a try and see how it works.

It is a great great app and a must have for your shopify store ... activating a popup with a call to action to encourage registration by revealing a secret discount code after signing up .... great FREE features and you don't need more if you are a small or bigger store like us... and i contacted support and they replied back promptly...

Wanted to upgrade some features but i believe they have highly rated pricing ... and all what i wanted is to collect the Country field detection ... so we will know users are registering from which country... so this option is really needed... but does not justify the extra cost for the upgrade.

So what we did is we played around!? the collected fields since you can ask the users when they register to fill his First Name and Last Name and email address.

So we changed the first field to FIRST NAME and the second "Second Name" we change it in to COUNTRY, so we don't care about the user second name but this way we can collect the First Name and Country and Email Address and we import through MailChimp :)

The application is not hard to use but there were some challenges using it. It needs to have broken down tutorials to go hand and hand with the customer.
