I'm still being charged 9.98 after i uninstalled that app months ago!! I want a refund you scammers!!
Hello,
We are sorry you've faced difficulties with the app charge.
As we can see, you've uninstalled the app on January 5, not a month ago.
You are billed for the app subscription as part of Shopify's 30-day subscription billing period.
Make sure that you consider app billing cycles when you uninstall the app. Recurring app charges are generated the first time an app charge is approved, and then on the first day of an app's billing cycle. Because of this, a charge will appear on your bill even if you uninstall an app only a day or two after you install it.
We are not authorized to provide refunds directly because the app charge is part of a Shopify bill. You may address the Shopify support and issue a refund, we'll approve it from our end.
Have a great day.
Nearly 20 orders did not have fees attached before checkout and it cost us hundreds of dollars out of our own pocket in costs that we cannot pass along to our high-profile client. Development support provided an explanation that doesn't align with our testing and apologized for "possible inconvenience" regarding transactions that had already been completed.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
We are truly sorry for the issues you've faced with.
Our devs have checked the app performance on several accounts and locations.
The app itself is configured and functions as expected. There are no elements incompatible with the app at your store such as dynamic checkout buttons or ajax cart drawer. These are the most common reasons for failures.
In your case, the most probable reason is the fact the clients clicked the "Checkout" button too quickly before the cart page has fully loaded.
Even if you weren't able to reproduce this on your end while testings, it's still possible and depends on the client's network connection speed.
Please feel free to address us if you have any further concerns.
Thank you.
Their support team is very helpful, provided quick response and solution. It helps us solved the pickup locations with different shipping fee issue. The app is interface user friendly, only few steps settings. Great app.
No one is helping me. I have sent two emails. The app is activated but the shopping cart shows nothing. The app does not do anything. Be aware of scam.
This app is one of a kind in Shopify App Store, Very useful when trying to describe and add fees for your products and cart. I have had a bug when adding a new percentage fee to my theme, I hope they solve it before my test period ends. That way I can be 100% sure to keep the subscription.
The app seems to be useful only for flat fees. For fees of a percentage, it's straight up mayhem. They create a product that is $0.01 and apply x number of them depending on the total cost in the cart. So if the total charge is $200, and you want to charge a 3% fee, that's $6 ... So it adds 600 of these 'fee products' charging 1 cent to your cart, so the customer's cart says 601 items in the cart. That's going to freak out some of my customers for sure, no thank you.
I can understand your frustration. We have just made changes to the app that should improve the situation. Let me give you some background on this problem, and describe our solution.
In the initial version of the app, in order to add a fee to a shopping cart, we were creating a product for that fee on the fly. For some merchants that resulted in multitude of fee products generated by the app, which sometimes caused problems with Shopify's product limits.
A few months ago we decided to rebuild our app from scratch, which included completely reworking the logic of how our fees get created and added to the shopping cart. As a result, our app now creates only a very small amount of fee products, and is also much more efficient and fast.
But, as you review also describes, this approach has a trade-off in form of how percent-based fees appear in checkout. We took your review to heart as we realized it raises a valid point. Over the last week we had been working on a solution to target that problem, and today we released an update. This update adds a field called Fee Increment to the fee settings, that will allow you to specify the increment value which is used to form the total fee amount. This approach can decrease the quantity of the fee product in the cart by a factor of 10 or even 100, depending on the Fee Increment value that you specify. We understand this may not completely resolve the problem, but we hope it makes it less prominent, considering the technological restrictions in which we have to operate. For more information on how Fee Increment settings work, please see your Fee configuration page in the app's admin.
Great app, responsive support. Only issue is that it wasn't clear this would not work for adding brokerage, tariff & customs fee as % of cart total. I was hoping to use this to add our prepaid customs and tariff costs, as we export to USA from Canada and we prepay all of the extra costs involved with crossing border. It does calculate the fee but I expected the fee could be shown as a line item after subtotal, or at least as last item in the cart. Instead it's simply mixed in with cart items. So in conclusion, only useful for 'Optional' fees such as add a service, custom add-on, insurance etc...
Avoid this app. For every item fee you want to add it creates an entirely new/separate "product" that appears in your cart, which is unbelievably ugly and confusing to customers. So if you've got 10 actual products in your cart, you've also got 10 fee "items" in your cart, on the receipt/invoice, etc. It's a really poor way to go about adding item fees and it blows me away that anyone thought to create an app around it. Granted, it is probably this way due to their inability to do anything on the Checkout pages (Shopify rules), but its still a pretty awful.
It also creates an unbelievable number of products in your database. I only have 7 real products and I've already spent the last 15 minutes deleting, literally, hundreds of these things.
I'm giving this two stars because the support can be helpful. They did a good bit of customization for me, perhaps knowing how awful their app is, but in the end it just wasn't enough. I hired an expert who customized code in about 30 minutes that is lightyears beyond what this app does.
And while support can be helpful, if you're in the US, beware -- they're in Belarus and so the end of their day is 11am PST, if you're lucky. So unless you want to wake up at 3am every day to try to get this working, you have to wait 24 hours, usually, for a response to any question you have. Pretty painful stuff. We were glad to be rid of it.
This is a fraudulent offer, after a week requesting help for the installation, they tell me that their application only works in the Shopify store, but not in the purchase buttons that one inserts in their own website. This last I realized myself because their technical support did not have the slightest idea of why the product did not work. I do not recommend it.
Is it possible to use this app to build conditions from Order Tags, rather than Customer Tags? I have apps that add details of ongoing orders to tags, and I want to be able to specify different payment criteria based on those tags. Those other apps do not add these tags to Customer Tags - only Order Tags.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, it's impossible to create fees based on Order Tags. Please note that fees are applied on the cart page and the app may process the data based on the product, cart or customer account attributes. After a fee is applied, it's passed to the Order admin as a product. So it's impossible to connect the app logic with any existing orders or an order that has not been submitted yet.
In case of any questions please let us know.
