SC Product Options

I've tried out the competition for this app and no other app does what the Premium Product Options does. It is well worth the price if your whole shop relies on it. I needed dropdowns to appear only when certain options are selected in the previous dropdown AND I needed some options to affect the total price of the item. I will most likely be recommending this app to any client that needs a lot of options on their product pages.

Lets just say.....GREAT Customer service!!!!!! Request for help sent and within 24 hours the problem was solved. These guys are wonderful to work with and I look forward to working with them in the future. The really do go above and beyond to give great service.I only wish all customer service was this prompt, professional and helpful as the people at Shappify with our Product Options App. The Product Options App is just what we needed. I am so glad I found. It is SUPER Simple, Super User Friendly and cant wait to enter more products.

Does what it says on the tin and more, it takes a little tweaking to merge the Product Options with your template, or you can get Bold Apps to do it perfectly for good value for money. Without this App, I wouldn't have been able to use Shopify for my cart software.

UPDATE (2013-Jun-06): I have been using this app for a week now, but the conditional logic feature for only two days. I was slow to catch on, so the BoldApps support team more than once created a video just for me that was suited to my particular brain stall :).

1) I love that if you check "Required" when creating a product relationship and a buyer tries to proceed to cart without making a choice (e.g., Yes/No), the options "light up" in red ink, requiring a choice before proceeding to the cart.

2) If a product requires a file upload (e.g., a photo), you can set up the option so it is NOT required, allowing a buyer to proceed to checkout and send their photo later.

3) The conditional logic feature is brilliant. It streamlines product pages, i.e., if a customer chooses to personalize an item with a Yes/No required option and they choose Yes, a drop-down text box appears, also ON the product page. This is one of its nicest features and eliminates possible confusion, e.g., "What do I do next?" You also can set more more than one condition per product type.

I was happy to have discovered this app because Shopify's variants have limitations, such as the inability to attach a cost to an option (e.g., for gift wrapping or a larger size). Customers also now can upload a photo for a personalized product, something they could not do on my old custom built sites. I also like that I can change the style/appearance of the options, such as any or all of a drop-down menu, radio button, checkbox, or multi-line text field when I offer more than one option on the same product.

Most importantly, I was pleasantly surprised by the personal attention I received after having difficulty with the app's installation, and then by the virtual one-on-one attention from Ron, a kind and patient member of the BoldApps support team. He helped me set up a myriad of options, which are different for each product type. I highly recommend this app and wish to thank BoldApps for putting so much thought into its functionality.

Terrific app, great support. I needed a way to allow customers to select from a variety of products to form a package and this app allowed me to do so in a way that will be easy for the customer to use. It has also allowed me to consolidate over 100 options in Shopify down to 5! Support by BOLD is off the charts. Incredibly helpful and responsive. I consider this a MUST HAVE!

The App itself add some really useful features, that makes it a lot easier for our customers to browse the shop, and saved us tons of work!

We're now able to create advanced options/attributes for all products, much easier and faster than before. Being used to oscommerce, this is a far better way to manage options than i have seen even in other shop systems.

Worth all the money - i've upgraded to premium, to get the extra features available.

With regards to the available support, i'd say i am impressed it is so cheap. With this level of support, you'd expect the app to be far more expensive. Really friendly and extremely fast fix.I've had two Freelancers try and fix an issue, but they gave up after 20 hours of coding.
After contacting support, it was fixed within the hour!
It makes me feel safe that there will be no issues when it comes to managing this area of the shop.

Awesome App! Love the options it gives me!

the product options app is quite powerful in its ability to expand upon your capabilities to sell your products with additional options and variants. it also allows a fair amount of additional customization through jquery. for example, we were able to have the different options change the main image (which is very helpful for customers to see exactly what they would be ordering).

most importantly though, the customer service has been quite spectacular. our store was having some difficulties with the product options app, but after reaching out to support, tamer got back to us and he helped tackle the issues in a very timely manner. you all know how stressful it can be when your shopping cart isn't working right! so color me impressed. thank you again tamer! you rock!!

i do wish there were forums setup or at least a more extensive faq section. because the product options app is actually quite powerful, i'm sure there are lots of customers who are trying to replicate the same sort of advanced functionality. things such as changing the main image with different product options, or the inventory checking functionality (which solved one of our issues, but i didn't know about it until tamer pointed it out), or how exactly you reference a dropdown option as opposed to checkbox options, and other very useful features.

other than that, great work on an amazing app with deep, if somewhat undocumented, features.
