I contacted the developer and received a response the same day. I gave them access to the site and within 48 hours the issue was fixed. Great, easy to implement solution. Requires a little html/css skills depending on your theme to things looking just right, and I'd love the ability to control the excerpt length, but awesome free app and just what I needed. ty!
