Report Toaster: Custom Reports

Report Toaster is one of my most reliable go-to tools. It empowers us to leverage our data in unlimited ways. The team behind the app is responsive and eager to help, so I highly recommend it to anyone invested in taking their ecommerce to the next level.

Report Toaster has been an absolute game-changer compared to Shopify’s native reporting, especially when it comes to compliance and financial clarity. Shopify’s built-in reports are fine at a surface level, but they fall short the moment you need real detail—particularly for interstate commerce, tax reporting, and separating gift card activity.

Report Toaster allows me to pull exactly the data I need, the way I need it, without having to export multiple reports and manually manipulate spreadsheets. The ability to clearly separate **gift card sales vs. redemptions** alone is invaluable, both for accurate revenue tracking and for working cleanly with accounting and tax records.

Where this tool truly shines is that I can easily break down sales by state, track taxable vs. non-taxable sales, and generate reports that actually make sense for filing and reconciliation.
