Not usable for complex product names + Slow support: The support takes forever and they answer with a default message stating that they have an above average number of requests to excuse themselves for it. Its been this way for a year now and it usually takes around 4-5 days to receive a reply, which is unacceptable given the size of our business.

Great app!
Great app! It is a very nice free solution to a problem that many charge large amounts for. I am glad this exists and the developers are working hard at it.
This has brought a much nicer user experience to searching through our expanding product range.
The customer support is amazing, with quick response and expert assistance.

Previously, I would have given this app 3.5 to 4 stars. However, after putting in months of work installing and configuring it, Searchanise increased the price of our plan by 400%. That's right: 400%. The exorbitant and abrupt price change feels like a bait and switch. Searchanise only gave a week's notice of the price change. Changing search apps (or changing a theme to avoid the need for a search app) is not something that can be accomplished in a week or so. Accordingly, we felt like Searchanise was extorting us with the abrupt price change. They were essentially saying: "Pay 400% more or we'll break your webstore". Moreover, the app has significant problems with its search algorithm, which is the key feature we required from it. The Searchanise algorithm has difficulty identifying variations on the same word. For example, we sell pom poms as a craft item. But the app is not able to recognize variations on that term. If a customer searches for pompom, pom pom, pom-pom, pompoms or pom-poms, the app will not return search results that include items containing the term "pom poms". The app includes a synonym function that purports to allow you to manually define related terms to correct deficiencies in the algorithm. Manual programming should not be required for a search algorithm to treat such similar terms as synonyms. Moreover, the synonym function in the app does not work properly. We have tried at length to use the synonyms function to resolve problems with the app's search algorithm, but the synonym function produces undesirable, inconsistent and unpredictable results. It changes the order and contents of search results in really unpredictable ways. We have read all the literature that Searchanise has provided on the synonym function, so we are aware of all the guidance on its use. Despite this, we have largely had to discontinue using it because it produces such inconsistent and unpredictable results. We have had to resort to using tags and revising our product descriptions to try to capture common variations on search terms to make up for shortcomings in the app's algorithm. That is very time consuming and should not be required. The fact that the app has difficulty recognizing the singular and plural form of words as synonyms is particularly problematic (eg. pompom and pompoms). So, before considering using this app, beware of its functionality shortcomings and the risk of exorbitant price increases instituted on short notice after you have spent days, months or years trying to configure the app.

The app support we've experienced so far from the team has been excellent, especially Ksenya who has been really supportinve. They have been very helpful and very quick and responsive to queries.

The searcg is amazing, it finds basically any matching or similar word displaying product photo and info. Haven´t seen the conversion yet but I´m pretty sure it will help. We find it somewhat expensive paying monthly.

It is a little like driving a Ferrari, you can't just get in and put foot to the pedal, you will crash. Take time to learn and play around a bit and this app can revolutionize your store, sales, and profits.
We added this app to our store at the beginning of November, and although this app displays a help chat time of just 7 minutes for example - you regularly have to wait 6 hours to get a response. Extremely frustrating service - when nothing can be answered quickly. Also the app does not allow you to make bulk changes easily - so making changes to a large catalogue is very time consuming. If you have a large store with multiple variants - the 'in stock' filter does not work alongside the 'size' filter - which defeats its purpose surely??

We understand how frustrating it is to wait for hours in chat which is totally not what we aim to do. The chat system we're using was quite new to us. We apologize for your bad experience.
However, we took into account your opinion and we worked hard on improving the response time of our support team both in chats and in the emails. We hope you can give our chats another shot because we will not let such delays happen again.
Regarding the bulk changes, we see your point. Clients with large catalogs indeed should have an easier way to adjust the settings and we're sorry we do not offer such functionality now. Nevertheless, it's totally on our radar and we have plans for adding this option to our admin panel. Even though we cannot say its ETA for now, yet when the feature is released, we will inform all our clients about it so please stay tuned.

It is the best application, to have an intelligent search engine, which I have tried. It is very much better than other more expensive, and with its trial period you can check all this.
The customer service team is wonderful, always willing to help and answering the emails of their customers.
