ShipHero is great! It is our first WMS and a good fit for a growing e-commerce operation. We transitioned from a paper pick ticket process to barcodes and scanners and ShipHero pretty much does everything we need it to do. Onboarding was very helpful. Danielle stuck with us and answered all of our questions. Post-onboarding support has been great as well. They actually add features that we request! We needed a custom report through their API and their developers made it happen for us! Their ecosystem is a little jumbled between multiple apps and web-based platforms. It can be hard to know where to find certain settings and there are multiple exports/imports for different product details. Hopefully this will be streamlined in future updates.
Consistent weekly upgrades and bug fixes are great. The software seems to be getting better all the time.
If you are looking to fulfill every last need you can think of --- shipping, accurate barcoding with inventory control, returns (THAT UPDATE AND HOLD YOUR INVENTORY--- EEEK), you name it... THIS IS THE program to get.
I have spent MONTHS trying to swing between programs that would give me workarounds to provide simply everything shiphero provides. I cannot go on and on about this company and program enough. Martin and Nicholas are CONSTANTLY working and helping me WHENEVER I need. They go above and beyond, they work out small quirks, help me understand things that I don't quite get, they help me process solve to most efficiently utilize their products to help my business grow and run smoothly. They have a HUGE database of help pages as well that cover nearly every question you can think of.
It's truly the entire package for e-commerce operations to run like they SHOULD. Accurately, speedy and everything connected in ONE location with Shopify. They just GET IT. You aren't talking to bland, vanilla developers who have no idea how things should flow or work in actuality. They GET it. Things make SENSE.
Not only are they extremely responsive, kind and intuitive....they're a riot! They actually have PERSONALITY. Especially that crazy British mess, Nicholas. The entire thing is just an absolute breath of fresh air. I am THRILLED to have this program and work with this company. I simply do not have enough words or time to fully explain the benefits and issues it's solved for my business and employees. We're about to take OFF and expand into a large warehouse. With their help, this transition will be FLAWLESS. As mentioned, I don't have enough good things to say about them. I really don't. There's literally NOTHING that they do not have that I absolutely wish it could. It's the MAC DADDY and I can tell you, if you stick with it, this program and team will make it worth it.
To be 100% genuine here, I think the only thing worth even mentioning that is a bit of an issue is the $99 user fee. When I am hiring part-time help to help pick and pack (literally nothing else) - that is just too expensive. That increases costs a lot and no matter how I slice it and try to make it more economically feasible, I can't quite validate that expense per user. I feel there should be an alternative - such as a part-time user login (that you can track on different days etc).
For example, I have college students that work 2-3 days a week. They are here at different times. But, they work no more than 10 hours a week each. I do not feel that they should have two separate logins. Not everyone in a warehouse works full time.
Otherwise, again --- this is the best program for 8456845 reasons. Truly.

30K+ orders per month. We recently changed to ShipHero from another well known shipping software, and it has really done well at minimizing order errors. We ship a little slower since we elect to scan the items on pick, then re-scan when we pack, but that process can be modified. The labels (when doing single item batches) aren't the fastest, but we have the system set to rate-shop every package. We were introduced to an update that's coming and it really sped up this process.
As for support, we have nothing bad to say. They are quick to respond and have worked hard to fix any issues we have seen. There was no down time with orders while we changed software providers. This was my main concern when I saw that there wasn't a direct customer service line, so I set up a meeting to discuss this ahead of time. They explained that customer service issues that are causing a delay in orders going out is always a priority and will be handled quick, while issues that are like-to-haves or lower priority items are handled a little slower (which is understandable). Someone from their implementation team traveled in to help us launch successfully and we are thankful they did. We had a ton of issues and it wasn't ShipHero.. it was how the old software communicated fulfillment statuses to the orders in Shopify.
All-in-all, the software is great. There are a lot of features we would like to see, some of them are already in the works. In our opinion, this system is the best value for 3PL softwares. We were actually $25,000 deep in setup and another $30,000 in equipment, trying to make another 3PL software work for us. Most we looked at were not as user friendly (you needed an advanced degree in coding software to set up), most needed additional software to function how we needed which costs more, and some didn't even have the ability to show an item image for our packers.
We started using this app when we moved from a 3PL to our own warehouse. It has helped us ship all the orders in time and without making mistakes.
The team has been excellent and has guided us throughout the process.
Shiphero is one the best inventory and shipping software I've used so far.
We are very happy with shiphero! We did tons of research on all the inventory apps available which led to shiphero and sku labs. We installed both apps and did a series of tests finding that shiphero had a lot more features for inventory management and shipping. Shiphero is great to get started with inventory management with plenty of room for growth. Their mobile app is great also for sending shipments in just a few clicks.
Here are a few things that we really like about the app:
1) We store pdf's within the sku's for technical drawings (would love it if we could upload other files, currently just have the ability for images and pdf's)
2) We have nested kits so we know every individual part that makes up our products. Also allows for effortless inventory tracking.
3) We have an automation rule set to use a customers shipping account when they place an order and our shipping account for regular customers. We also have automation rules set to prioritize shipments.
4) We set up vendors for different departments of our business to send purchase orders when we need to manufacture more of our products.
5) Any questions or help we need they are very quick to respond with knowledgeable people on the other end.
6) All outgoing orders are quickly barcode scanned for accuracy with visibility showing that the packer did his job correctly.
I highly recommend this app. Their product and service is so great that I had to take the time to give them a great review for all their hard work!
The on-boarding process with ShipHero was made easy by Danielle. We are extremely fortunate to have had someone walk us through step by step, answering all of our questions during the on-boarding process. We are a quickly scaling business, so switching over to a new order fulfillment and inventory management system was bound to be a challenging task. Thankfully this process was made much easier with hands on help from Danielle and the rest of the ShipHero team. We are about a month into operating with ShipHero in place and it has been the best thing to happen to our operations process – without question. Thank you ShipHero and Danielle for always being so responsive and helpful!

Ultimately Shiphero is a complex and powerful tool that should not be underestimated. With Shiphero we focus on "How to do X?", rather than "Is X possible?", bc more often than not: Yes with Shiphero it is possible. Additional note: Their UI is polished to make the basics shine. My single quip is that they do not allow for "OR" "AND" in order searches
Our company just finish on-boarding with Alissa who is the Senior Solutions Specialist. She is an all-star! We have gone through on-boarding with other programs that our company used previously and this is by far the best experience that we have ever had. Alissa is very knowledgeable, patient and genuinely kind. We were sad once our on-boarding process ended because we wish that we could continue working with her!
Ship Hero has been the best system that we've been able to find for our company. Alias mapping SKUs, assembly bundles and other kits have been a breeze to set up and manage. Dynamic inventory has been a huge change to our system but it has truly helped us grow and track inventory more efficiently. Integrations with Amazon and Shopify work very well. Inventory adjustments push almost instantaneously to our sales channels. We are very happy with our experience so far. We only wish that Ship Hero had a manufacturing function so that we could use the program for all of our needs!
