A shipping program needs to do two things:
1. Print shipping labels. Shippo does this well and their pre-printed return labels are especially useful.
2. Print packing lists. Shippo _claims_ to do this, but what they print is not an actual packing list.
A true packing list shows the product and quantity ordered as well as the ship to address. Shippo adds item pricing and a total--so it's more akin to a receipt than a packaging list.
That would be okay, BUT the receipt that Shippo prints is not even accurate if your customer uses a promo code. Shippo prints the FULL msrp every time, regardless of the actual price paid by the customer.
This creates the very weird situation that you are sending customer receipts showing that they paid more than they actually paid. No potential issues there, of course!
I spoke with Shippo about this and their response is that I am making a "feature request." Actually, I would just like Shippo to do what it claims to do. For a small company, they seem not to be particularly responsive...
just works -- no monthly fees, great for a startup!
I usually never write reviews, but this app was EXACTLY what I was looking for. This review is directed towards those who are still deciding which shipping app to choose, stop looking elsewhere and get this. Most of the other apps have ridiculous monthly plans which doesn't make sense for people just starting out. Shippo is pay as you print and the whole process just works beautifully.
THANK GOD FOR SHIPPO! I used to use the USPS website which in my opinion is slow and bleh. Shippo has saved me time and definitely money while using this. I wish they would charge my card immediately though! Other than that really great app!
Shippo is great! Definitely the easiest label service we've found by far. It plays very well and very easily with Shopify too.
We've been using Shippo for years. Most of it works great, but when trying to process multiple orders at once we almost always have a few fail and it causes a lot more work for us. Also wish they had a white list or default shipping method by default as we end up sometimes selecting the wrong one and having to refund label (wait 30 mins) then make another using the correct method.
This a wonderful app! Simon even took the time to answer questions I had in a professional/prompt/easy to understand manner. I recommend it for all store owners! Having this app gives me one less thing to worry about and allows me to work on my site more.

THEIR FOLLOW UP IS MISLEADING AS I'M STILL DEALING WITH THEM VIA EMAIL. Not sure why you can't find the interaction that has been ongoing for a while now, but that's perhaps also indicative of their (lack of) level of commitment to customer service. Wrongfully overcharged by UPS then trying to get the situation remedied and the money refunded was/is a pain. I can't endorse a company that doesn't bother to offer phone support to its customers, either. It makes the process of resolving customer issues much slower and painful.

To clarify a bit more, our refund process does take 14 business days from the created date of the label and since this was a dispute directly to UPS, we were working with them to resolve that as well.
We just heard back from UPS and we were able to refund that back to you. We'll give you a call back again today to try and discuss this further.
