DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT!!!! GO THRU SHIPSTATION!!!!
I decided to give them another chance, even though the packages would come back with overage charges (one yard sign, purchase price $13.50, shipping cost was 10.85, overage charges of $108.75!!!) Customer service Maia, told me that she would take care of it. We contacted UPS, and they said too bad. But Shipstation took care of me...., that was for the original review.
So, I decided to protect myself by taking pics of EVERY SINGLE PACKAGE that leaves here, all the same packages. And again, MORE overage charges.
So I went ahead contact Shipstation, sent pictures and stated I was being overcharged again. All of my packages are the same size, they always ship out daily, I spent over $400 in shippng yesterday ALONE. And this is the customer service I get...I was hoping they would help....NOPE! This was the response from Shantice D., after I told her I am ready to leave if they aren't going to protect me from all of these ridiculous charges Shantice D. (ShipStation)

Thanks for your reply. I do apologize for any inconvenience, however, this decision is ultimately up to the carrier based on the dimensions entered compared to what UPS says they actually are.

Needless to say...go to shippo or even contact the carriers directly. The hidden charges are more expensive than going thru shipstation, in the long run.

absolutely WORST customer service ever (see below for transcript)! Go to shippo, go straight to the carriers, hell drive your orders out to your customers. THIS IS NOT THE APP TO DO IT!!!
I ship alot of packages every day....so far this month 321 packages (not bad for a little old lady sitting at home). And I was looking for a way to mainline my shipping process. I came across this program and have had nothing but trouble. But NOTHING beats this week!
They charged me $120 for ONE package that was shipped about an hour away. Now this package weighed LESS THAN 2 lbs, and had dimensions of 25x19x1. and when I questioned it, I was basically told "too bad, deal with it". So I want an explanation. They claim that I was being hit by all of these backcharges at once, but NO explanation on what the back charges were???
I questioned and questioned over and over again. STILL no answer. Here is the latest correspondence trying to find out why i was being charged so much? Same size package shipped 45mins away (really wish I just drove it myself), charged $10 originally, and $17 back charge???? FOR WHAT????

i already received her "message" yesterday which gave ZERO explanation just yes these are the charges, deal with it. one package cost me 28 dollars to ship...and this was being delivered 45 mins away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i ship a lot of packages every day...and i am seriously looking into other shipping programs unless someone explains these hidden charges, today
do i pay extra because these are residential addresses?
if so, why isnt' that on the front end, how much additional is it for resi?

Tried this to try to make my shipping done in 1 app for fast comparison! I wasted 2 hours trying to make everything work just with Shopify, what a joke! Canceled my free trial ... I see no reason at all for this "add on" Couldn't get anything to work even though I have had accounts with UPS, FedEx and DHL since the '70's! NOTHING BUT ERROR MESSAGES! I went back to my FREE online shipping platforms from FedEx, and UPS. USPS is already is Free and working with Shopify. $108 a year this app? They should pay you to BETA test this crap! 4.8 rating has got to be phony as a 3 dollar bill! Don't believe it!!!
I signed up as a paying customer thinking that this would work fine but how wrong I was. This app is very very slow. here is the example: We get online orders via shopify and it takes minimum 40 minutes to show up on shipstation. so we aree not able to ship items as the order comes in. I wish i had known about this before. I will start to look for another app that doesn't have this sort of annoying delays. No one should delay shipping their orders because a shipping app is delaying in showing up the order and keep in mind each how important each order is. And this app is showing the orders 40 mins late and we can only print the label after that precious time is lost?
One of the worst customer support systems I've dealt with. If you're lucky they'll respond within 48 to 168hrs. Their response is usually tired and unhelpful. No live support and they'll happily ignore all requests to chat with support. Currently looking for an alternative solution.

Do not use shipstation if you plan on adding new products to your store on a regular basis. It seemed amazing until I found out that they require you to manually add information for every product you have such as weight, value, customs info and more...all info that was already added to shopify in the first place creating twice the amount of work. The workaround they gave me was to create a spreadsheet and re-import that every time I add a new product. Ridiculous.
Can not click on HELP with out it logging me off to log back in so we have no way of Fixing a uploading error for Etsy. We get this Error:
An error occurred attempting to update orders: receipts is not a valid value for Int32.
Horrible. We chose them ShipStation weeks before our launch and when ever we contacted them it was never their fault that the labels could not be printed . They blamed Shopify they blames Fedex....it was never there issue. To top it off when we launched after they assured us everything was fine....IT FAILED and no one was there to help. No Human -- No Chat. We called ShippingEASY got real people and they got us up and running in it all out in 1 phone call . Thank You SHIPPING EASY. GOOD BY SHIPSTATION
Shipstation will offer you a 30 day "free trial". I cancelled BEFORE the deadline because it wasn't going to work for my store. Then they started billing me two months later. So after you cancel watch your credit card charges and then you can waste a bunch of time and cancel it a second time. No thanks!
I had to change my rating back to one star. Today it didn't connect due an error at the end of Ship Station for 3 hours. Just a white screen and gear spinning. Horrible support. Continued errors with Shopify Software. I held for 40 minutes with phone support, then a leave a message, message came on. The email support is a joke. Token incompatibility with shopify. I am not happy. I spent 1/2 my morning trying to deal with shipping only 20 orders. Account rep is not responsive and there is no one to fill in. When you do reach people they are poorly trained and not helpful. All they do is ask for a 5 star rating
