There are a lot of features available, many of which are very useful. Assuming your inventory sync is doing well, you can flag OOS items, and also orders going to the same address. There are lots of sorting features and automation rules that streamline the process.
The information is very dense though, almost to an overwhelming degree. You will become very familiar with the help articles.
ShipStation so far (2 years in) has been decent. The only issue I have is why does an order made in Shopify takes hours to pop up in ShipStation? But other than that I have no complaints. I will be sure to update as the time expands.
For the most part it all works fine. There have been some automatic updates that have caused our local pickup orders to stop being visible in Shipstation for our shipper to fulfill. This is after 10+ years of no issues. I have not been able to get that resolved.
Overall we have had a good experience, but little things like this impact how we function.

We have used Shipstation for many years and find it suits our situation well. The integration with Shopify works fine, we have no problem and its always connected. The staff are really good and helpful. The staff response has improved heaps.

User for 8+ years. Shipstation is powerful, but a bit buggy, with occasional small issues to fix. That said they are clearly committed to constant improvement, and consistently are making upgrades and improvements. Support is responsive, I had a tier problem that really frustrated me but to their credit they fixed it. I am continuing forward with SS as a result of that.

There are a few connectivity issues that should be fixed but other than that we are super happy we switched from Shippo to Ship Station. Love the added functionality and most of the scale integration. Has improved our shipping efficiency tremendously!
There have been near-flawless interactions. It has cut down on shipping costs and errors. The only issue I have is with claims. They always need to be approved, which is complex and rare.
All options are not provided each time. Shipstation at times does not provide all the information needed like previous order information or ship by information to be printed on invoices
Emily was very helpful setting up our Shipstation account with, and we have found it to be a lot more efficient than anything else we have tried! I would recommend.
