The ability to change the output with HTML or Liquid is excellent. No other e-commerce service offers this level of freedom. Invoices could be created in a specified format.

Missing: order. shipping name, tax percentage, shipping method.
Nog showing: paid by (outside the table), ebay tax.
Still no footer, which is quite normal on invoices.

We have used the Shopify in-house app Order Printer to print custom pack slips for many years. This is a nearly identical replacement of the Order Printer (legacy) app but with some changes to the liquid variables. There are two help pages you will need: "Liquid variables and filters reference for Shopify Order Printer" and "Migrate from the Order Printer app to Shopify Order Printer".

New order print is horrible. There are no sku's on the invoices and it is including my corporate information and DBA on the invoice. Totally NOT wanted. Can't figure out how to fix it

OMG! Who on earth thought this app was an improvement! The old one worked, why change it? I've cut and pasted the text from the old template but it's not even close when viewed on the new order printer. The fonts are lost, totals and discounts are missing, ship to address is gone. We're not doing anything complex here, just wanting it to list the customers order, their address and what they paid ...

Changed my entire template, If you are developing a new app at least make your template attractive. Shopify can't invest that much for their users ? to atleast provide professionals invoices for their clients.

I have 6-7 different templates from multiple stores.. some of which were heavily modified for better functionality, and now nothing works properly. This is not a good move by Shopify. As others have mentioned, this app is not as good as the legacy version. We could have multiple templates for B2B, B2C, gifts, drop shipments, etc. Now we get two, and the packing slip has prices by default, which is a HUGE no-no. definitely not apples to apples here. they tell you to just copy and paste your old template but it just breaks other things on the template. there's no support too. why change something that wasn't broken?

My existing templates don't work with the new app. The order number, date, and barcode are all missing—three items that are essential for picking and packing orders.

If you use the Order Printer Templates app they have posted an article about the compatibility issues with the new app:
