This app gives great peace of mind, and another layer of protection over Shopify's basic fraud meter. They offer your first "guarantee" free, and I took advantage of it last night. We're a new store (barely open a month), and we had our first "medium" on Shopify's fraud meter. I used the guarantee feature and it was approved almost instantly. The point system they use provides a lot more detail into what could be a fraudulent transaction so you can be more informed. And now that 500 transactions are free per month, you have no reason NOT to try out this app.
Installed this app after we had a case of fraud. It adds another layer of protection and helps to check suspicious orders. It also rates each customer and sends email alerts when the score is below certain recommended number. Must have app.
Update: I know there are some poor reviews just before mine. I suggest you dig deeper into the reviews before you decide since there are some very good ones that I based my decision on before I got this app. To be fair.
I like their fraud detection reports since they "explain" and rate the safety of a transaction. They're much nicer than my last fraud detection app, which basically told me nothing. Their customer support is excellent. Very helpful and supportive. I have had this app for about a month and haven't had any chargebacks so I can't speak to that yet. If I ever do, I'll update my review. My thanks to Signifyd support for your quick help on everything I've asked you about.
Signifyd has been great. They guarantee us against fraudulent chargebacks. If we ever get a chargeback, they pay out quickly and within a few hours. The team is great to work with and the product is terrific. We highly recommend this service to all shopfy stores!
We have been using Signifyd for almost a year but just switched over to the the "submit every order for guarantee" plan because it's become painfully obvious that these guys are the best at what they do. We have extremely high average selling prices due to the nature of our business, so if it works in our case, I can't imagine a store where Signifyd doesn't bring tremendous value. You should definitely try this out ASAP because the learning curve is incredibly easy and their developers have been really responsive in making UI changes to help us understand the tool even better. If we ever switched away from Shopify, this is the only app we'd absolutely have to take with us--it's that good.
Before I had Signifyd I had this one fraudulent order that caused an expensive chargeback. It made me really nervous about processing other orders. This app gives you total peace of mind. The point of having your business is to make money - not lose it. There were a couple of times I got a chargeback and Signifyd reimbursed me pretty quickly. HIGHLY recommended for any store owner. I don't know why anyone wouldn't use this.
Signifyd has greatly improved our processing time on web orders by providing fraud protection. Less headaches figuring out what is legitimate and what is not. Fast processing of refunds as well.
We use Signifyd to help us minimize fraudulent orders and also cut down on the manual efforts of the team. The Guarantee Coverage for chargebacks is a great way for us to ensure that we are protected against fraud, especially during those times when our volume increases. Whenever we've had questions or concerns customer support has been able to quickly assist us and provide any additional resources we need.
Used Signifyd for past 3 years not one issue, any claims have been settled within days, no more fraud orders thanks to Signifyd.
This is a must have app. We received an order with billing and shipping addresses the same and a low risk from Shopify. In the old days, we would have shipped, confident that it was a good sale. Today, we use Signifyd to avoid this.
In this case, one of my employees did not realize the guarantee was still in review and shipped anyway. Signifyd came back and said the order appeared fraudulent and we quickly contacted FedEx and had the package stopped and returned to us. That would have been a loss of several thousand dollars. Not only did we avoid a loss and chargeback, but by having a record of no chargebacks helps maintain a relationship with the payment processor.
I cannot understand how any merchant would not use this app. Now, if only they come up with a fraud protection app!
