SimplyCost is exactly what we missed in Shopify. The just more than basic accounting information; so extensive reporting options including insight in our actual stock levels and values.
(What would be nice is a snapshot function to grab the stock level at the end of a month, quarter and year.)
Very responsive app maker, and we are very happy with it and would recommend this app to all shopify users.

Shopify doesn't allow you to input costs, so figuring out exactly how much money you're making off each product has to be done elsewhere. This app is a simple, yet effective solution to this shortcoming. Quick, easy, and you can't beat the price!

Great app that does what it says. I have been using SimplyCost for a while now, and I use it daily. I mostly ease it for keeping track of the profit on a day to day basic. After focusing on profit, it has increased 3 times, and the sales are only increased 1,5 time, so focusing on the profit has had a positive impact on the business - thanks to SimplyCost.

Best App I tried for this. It gave me a whole different vision of my business and allowed to perform better.
The only thing missing would be shipping cost calculation given 3rd party app developers, or with a given rate.
I per example have 2 different rates, but it's not a fixed percentage that I charge my client. one is +20% the other is +35%.

This app is very useful to track COGS, quantities sold and other analytics. Would definitely recommend.

Nice app to keep track of profit for products, inventory value and more

This app is so easy to use, and has helped us tremendously to track COGS. There are some features/reports I have yet to utilize, but so far it's doing exactly what I need it to. Very satisfied with this app.

Its a super good app....I use it every month to add COGS to each item and to download reports at the end of the accounting period.

I found it quite frustrating to discover that Shopify doesn't support cost pricing as a feature out the box. I also found it hard to find an app that addresses this without having to pay for lots of unnecessary features on top. Simply cost does what it says on tin and has proved to be a simple but effective tool for managing COGS and a keeping track of our profit margin. One feature I would like to see in the future is automated reports- particularly so I can report the total cost value of our stock on a monthly basis :)

Fills the COGS gap that Shopify unfortunately does not offer.
If you work a lot in retail section or moved from another retail system than you know how important to have cost prices in your system.
We have brand children's clothing store, so for us it is important to have all items' details in one place.
