The term 'partner' is often tossed around so loosely that it looses much of its meaning. Skio however, is one of those rare exceptions that truly deserves to be called a trusted and valued partner. And that is what they are to our company. Oh yeah, the actual Skio platform and software blows away anything we used or have seen in that past. As the Director of Retention at Kitsch, a beauty company with a significant focus on subscription-based products, I've had the pleasure of integrating and working with Skio for the past few months. To say that Skio has been a game-changer for our subscription management would be an understatement.
One of the most critical aspects of retention is the user experience, and Skio excels in this domain. The app offers a hosted subscription portal that's not just easy for our team to manage but is also incredibly user-friendly for our customers. The passwordless login feature is a subtle but impactful touch that makes the entire process smoother for our users.
Additionally, Skio's analytics dashboard makes it quick and easy to monitor cohort retention, subscription program health, and more. The comprehensive array of metrics, including MMR and AOV, has given us rich insights into our subscription business. We've been able to pinpoint what's working, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions more confidently than ever before.
The built-in upselling tool has been another boon. Not only has it contributed to an increase in our subscription average order value, but it has also given us another avenue to delight our existing customers with additional products and services. Advanced capabilities like half skips and product swaps have further enriched our toolkit for customer retention.
The value it brings to the table more than justifies the investment. From the user experience to analytics and additional features, Skio has proven to be a holistic solution for managing our subscription business. I wholeheartedly recommend Skio to any Shopify store looking to supercharge their subscription management and customer retention efforts.

We are another case study coming over from ReCharge. I cannot stress enough how seamless this has been.
I think ReCharge is a great product, don't get me wrong, but I'm a stickler for customer support. Personally, I think it's complete BS how many of these apps take so much money from you, but can't figure out a way to provide exceptional support.
Skio made it clear from the beginning they are not compromising on that, and they have lived true to their word.
Another key thing is that after spending a decade in sales, I'm very sensitive to being sold to. Skio (and Aidan specifically) understand this, and do not push. They consult, provide ideas, and when you're ready, they bring you on. No "this offer is only valid for today" type BS.
First off, they have a dev team that handles the entire transition, in the backend, and without your involvement until it's almost ready to go live.
Secondly, you are assigned a CSM right out of the gate for on-boarding, go-live, and post go-live support.
Our team for this, Sandro & Chris, are both absolute FKN rockstars. They respond fast, in-depth, and follow-up after the fact to make sure it all made sense.
Beyond this, the product is superior to ReCharge IMO for multiple reasons.
1) They take over your account/login page as part of the build, so whether you're a sub, or a single purchaser, you have one clear account for your order history, and the UI/UX is outstanding
2) The data analytics are waaaaay faster load times (almost real-time...sometimes a slight load delay)
3) The customer UX/UI in the portal is way sexier and easy to use
4) Their cancel flow allows for a lot of customization to reduce churn - we've implemented multiple new messages and reasons, along with churn reducing actions
Overall, Skio is moving forward, while ReCharge is playing catch-up (even if ReCharge still has features Skio doesn't yet, it's clear Skio moves fast, and is constantly updating, whereas ReCharge is resting on their laurels)
I love the team, the pricing is fair, and the tech is awesome - I'm excited to see where this goes.

I waited 2.5 years to switch to Skio! When the stars finally aligned, I contacted their team and started our migration. The team that helped us migrate was terrific—they clearly outlined the process, introduced us to partners to help us grow, and moved over our subscriptions without significant issues.
In addition, the features that Skio provides brands are top-notch - instead of using a collection of somewhat disconnected apps, we can finally manage our subscription experience in one place.
The Skio support team have been great helping us setting everything up! I would highly recommend Skio for any subscription needs.

It has integrated perfectly into our Shopify store and Klaviyo flows. Customer experience is great and our new signups began to increase immediately. Their customer service is truly fantastic... Sandro, our account rep, is incredibly knowledgeable and really goes over and above to help us and improve our subscription programme. Highly recommend!
We love using Skio! There are quite a few options out there but their UI is much more intuitive and at the end of the day when we have an issue, they are there for us. We've been on calls with some of their team (Tyler is a name that sticks out) and we always have positive & productive interactions. We definitely recommend Skio to anyone thinking about it!

We switched over from ReCharge due to all the issues and the non-existent customer support. The team as Skio helped with the entire transition over. Much cleaner platform, better admin, better customer IU, and we have seen an increase in subscriptions since the switch. Highly recommend their product and support to anyone looking to get into subscriptions!

We're early on with Skio but it's worked pretty easily. They are young and have some work to do on their documentation but their team is responsive to customer requests. I've been on a number of calls with their dev team to help figure out the edges. I'll take scrappy and willing to help over ridging and a "figure it out yourself" attitude any day. I'd trust them with your subscription service.

Annihilates Recharge. Have been hacking recharge for a long time, moved to SKIO and the team is much more responsive. Says a lot that recharge charges for basic customer support while SKIO does it for free like a normal company would...

pretty goated company - helped with a custom integration and setup over a couple weeks giving me time with a dev included with the subscription (and then refunded a month when the integration ran over the expected deadline) love the product roadmap and works 10x better than recharge or custom checkout/crm

Hands down, easily the best subscription engine out there. I've used Recharge, Bold Apps, and Smartrr in the past -- Skio is superior compared to all and Any of them. The best feature is passwordless login that our customers love and has reduced support tickets by over 30%. Their team also ships new features at a staggering pace.

When I say you should run away from all other subscription apps. RUN. Skio is the subscription app that everything else should have been but never was. First off the team has been incredibly helpful in getting us set up. They are quick, knowledgable, and super accessible, not like some of the other companies. The UX and UI on the admin side is fantastic and for the customer side everything is seamless. I absolutely love the customer portal, it makes having a subscription easy and fun, not boring and conducive to churn. I highly recommend using SKIO for your subscription needs.

The UX Skio provides for subscription is streamlined and seamless, something our customers begged for and now really appreciate. Our subscription-related CX tickets have decreased tenfold. Highly suggest using a Shopify native app for recurring billing -- only have to make changes in one place (shipping address changes, refunds, etc.). Also, the Skio team is super responsive, efficient, and helpful and they've been angels at working with us to customize just about everything. Excited to launch our text-to-swap feature and the group referral. Would definitely recommend!

We switched to Skio subscription so we can use a recurring payment app that is customizable to our brand, easy to set up, and comes with intuitive notifications. We've used bold, recharge, and others! Skio is the only subscription app that is designing from the customer's perspective. No more answering frustrated customer emails. Not to mention, how much better our customer's order page is. It's beautiful!
