A lovely app -- if only there were a way to control the endless stream of bot sign-ups coming in through Shopify. I realize that at its source this is a Shopify issue, but seeing as it's a recognized and much-talked-about flaw in Shopify's customer accounts sign-up, some sort of ability to filter who makes it into the points list is badly needed.

This is especially true, since the app's pricing tiers depend on the number of customers, which currently quickly fills with bot registrations.

If Shopify ever fixes the underlying issue, I'll be back. But in the meantime, the app, for me, is unworkable.

Amazing, very simple to use and setup. I had an issue with setting up referrals and contacted support. They messaged me back right away and resolved the issue within an hour.

I just installed this app, so far I like the setup and interface.

I am leaving a 1-star review due to the extremely poor level of customer support that Smile offers. Unlike other apps, the Smile support team will try to help with the least possible effort, and will never actually be willing to login to a Shopify store to assist with the app's implementation or code (i.e. through a collaborator link or staff account login).
All the support team will do is send you one of their trained reply templates to provide a help article. We wanted to show the Smile launcher on only one page of our website, but were told that this was not possible. We would have to 'exclude' every single page on our website to be able to do this. There is no option in the app to only 'include' certain URLs to display the launcher. This is not helpful at all. Additionally, we found through the support team that certain features of the Smile app are only available to people depending on when the account was created. For example, they currently offer different ways the launcher can be displayed on mobile - but only for new accounts. Because we have an older account, the team refuses to give this option to us. This is extremely bizarre and not logical at all. Seriously Smile - for the amount that you charge merchants to use your program, you really need to improve your customer support and allow more customization for merchants.

I truly understand the frustration these issues caused. I'm going to carefully look into the problems you highlighted and reach out privately to try and resolve these concerns.

Customer service is incredibly important to us and we always try and offer the best advice and support that we possibly can. Some things are outside our control but we will always try and offer workarounds and solutions. We will never refuse to offer a feature if it is available and we are currently looking at ways to offer the visibility option to you we are just waiting to see how we can add you to the control group.

I’ve used this app for 3 months on the 50$/month plan. It looked like a great concept at first, but for such a high price it lacks several important features (or only makes them available on a 200$/month plan) :

There is no analytics or any kind of way to view how customers spend their points (or if they even do) on the 50$ plan.

A major feature that’s also missing is the integration with emailing apps to allow customers to redeem points by subscribing to the newsletter. That should be a top feature for any kind of rewards system.

The interface is too limited, with very few customization possibilities. I understand it has to be user-friendly, but this is oversimplified. The intrusive popup widget gets old really fast. If it was a fairly new app I’d understand, but they’ve been around for years and should have had improved by now.

The support is alright which is why I’m still giving it 3 stars, but overall I don’t feel like this is worth the cost.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most useful apps in the entire app store. It is easy and intuitive for customers to become reward members and cash in their rewards when ready. The dashboard is laid out simply and logically too. I've not found any bugs in the year and a half it's been on our site. How I wish every app was so carefully and logically built. It continues to encourage customers to join and return to build more points. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Great job Sweet Tooth team!
