We have been using SMILE since its early free days. It stung a bit when they started charging but with a bit of communication we were able to come to a fair agreement and now very happy to continue using the app.

I think the jump from FREE to US$50 per month is too steep. I have 300 people on my program and the FREE version is very limited and causes confusion so I have to upgrade but its a huge price increase. If there was a US $30 pm option for up to 600 members it would be much easier to build slowly.

Fab app, needed a bit of help in the beginning but the Help desk was always swift and helpful. Highly recommended. Our customers like having the rewards, and particularly like saving up for the higher values, so don't be afraid to have three or four stepped rewards. The only thing that did slow us down was working out the maths behind everything....ie, the value of our product's 'points' vs the value of the rewards 'points' is actually a complicated algorythm, and you want to get it right before you launch. Sweettooth offers a good tutorial on this, but if maths isn't your strong suit, and you start to go cross-eyed, best to talk to someone who really understands the difference between the value of the points earned and the value of the points spent, and how this applies to your business model. This could make or break your program's success. UPDATE: Needed help with positioning the app logo to avoid overlapping with another information box, and once more the Help Desk was super quick and helpful.
Ok, that was ridiculously easy to set up and get running. Free plan is just enough to be very useful and gives us incentive to upgrade eventually as the program starts doing its thing.
