Sell and promote merch to your fans on Spotify by connecting your store via Spotify for Artists
Create your virtual merch table on Spotify so fans can buy merch right where they're listening to your music. Easily manage sales and inventory by publishing up to 250 items to Spotify and selecting which items to feature on your artist profile, release pages, and more. Whether your store sells merch for a single artist or a full roster, Spotify will ensure your merch gets in front of the right fans at the right time while you monitor orders and sales from within Shopify.
Artist team admins have access to this integration within Spotify for Artists
Share new or exclusive merch with fans as soon as it drops to maximize impact
Feature fresh merch on your artist profile to reach your top fans worldwide
Feature relevant merch on the associated album and release pages
Spotify will automatically remove out of stock items from featured positions
Simple - it does not work. Finally, Spotify has made an effort to let artists sell merch so they can make some actual income instead of the pennies they get off streams and it doesn't work. Constantly crashing and glitching, having to re-connect my store, merch disappearing off artist pages. FIX PLEASE!
Does not work when you're using your phone. You need to apparently do it from a desktop. From what I understand it is not as easy as they make it out to be.
This used to work. This app & plug-in are not fit for purpose and no longer functional in any sense of the word. As always, Spotify doubles-down on its undermining art and artists by failing to devote the resources to enable us to actually make any money from our work. In the same realm: patent trolls, politicians, Spotify.
Doesn't work. I connect our Shopify to our Spotify for Artists account but none of our artists show to be added. None of the information available helps in any way with this.
The App Use to work fine (for about a week), now its listed as unsupported in my shopify dash. So, it does not work as advertised or lead to believe, when signing up from artists.spotify.com. I've received no support from a product they endorsed and lead me to pick-up. When customers visit any artists pages at spotify, that our shopify pushes data to (Merch offers). Merchbar albums appear, if customer is not logged in to spotify. This is strange, because as the artists/representative I contacted merchbar to get more info and supply our own records. Even stranger, they did not return our emails, which drove us to start our own Merch solution with the aid of spotify/shopify. This schema is super strange, and makes the artist compete with their own products. I've contacted the vendor several times (spotify) and asked to prioritize our offers over Merchbars offers (for logged in/non-logged in users of spotify). I have omitted the original solution as we are now made to agree to shopify terms about bashing or wanting an incentive. I JUST WANT IT TO WORK AS ADVERTISED. PS: Still have not heard back from Spotify after a month. (Updated: Oct. 6th 2022)
