good for small stock counts, anything over 100 and there will be some issues.
Thank you for your review. Please email us with any issues you had with your stocktake. We regularly have merchants who count warehouses with 50,000 products with our app running on a dozen devices.
Thanks,

I like the app but it would be a really good idea if Shopify hardware like the POS GO could be used to scan products to carry out a stocktake
Our app now supports POS Go hardware to scan barcodes.
Please write to us at support@brdatasolutions.com if you have any questions.
Super simple to use, reporting is really good and it's so handy that multiple devices can join the stocktake.
Great app; for the number of warehouses and staff that we currently have this app has been a great addition to our Shopify store.
We have been very happy with its performance, very happy.
Thank you for your review. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions to improve our app.
Thanks,

Finally an app that does a stocktake the way a retailer needs it done!! Excellent communication from the developer and great support. Highly recommended
I've been using Shopify for my online store for a couple of years and I love their user interface and the ease with which I could maintain products, pricing, and inventory. I started using their POS at my physical store because I was not happy with my existing Tally Shopper POS software and faced problems with maintaining 2 sets of inventory. There were a couple of issues migrating to Shopify POS. Their free Retail Barcode Label app did not support my existing TSC printer labels, printing of prices in Indian Rupees was missing, and inventory taking was completely absent from their Shopify basic plan.
I learned I needed to dish out more money after the trial period for their "Free" Stocky app that is part of their $79 plan. I was also surprised to find that Stocky and several other Stock taking apps in the Shopify app store do not take into account unfulfilled inventory. For example, if there are 2 pieces of a particular product variant on my shelf and 1 unfulfilled online order, Shopify will show "available" inventory as 1. You need to add available stock to unfulfilled stock to get the real count. Any inventory taking app must take this into account if the Stock needs to tally in Shopify, otherwise all unfulfilled products will have incorrect counts after you take stock. I learned this the hard way and had to redo my inventory manually after my counts were messed up.
I contacted BR Data Solutions and convinced them to write this app. I worked with them to ensure I got exactly what I needed to take stock at my 2 locations. What they've delivered is definitely better than any stock taking app available on Shopify today.
It says in the app that you can start stock-taking again after closing the app. But you will have to start over again. Your scan results are lost. So when your battery runs out.. or the app crashes, or for whatever reason you refresh the page... everything is gone. What a disaster.
Update: June 4th, 2021
Hi,
This issue has been fixed now. We added a "Save" button, so you can backup your work to our server and exit the app. If your iPad/iPhone powers down or reboots, your saved stocktakes are displayed, and you may continue from where you last saved.
Thank you.

Original message:
Thanks for installing our stock taking app on Shopify and providing your feedback.
Due to a recent update to the Shopify admin and POS apps on iOS, local storage (where your stock data is stored) on your iPad/iPhone gets cleared if the app is forced to close or the iPad powers down. Note that if you exit the Shopify app or if the iPad sleeps you should still have all your stock take data available.
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to recover the stock data that was lost after the iPad shutdown. We regret any inconvenience this has caused you. This problem occurs on Apple mobile devices, Stock Taking in your Safari/Chrome browser or on Android devices does not have the same issue. We are working on fixing this, we will keep a local copy and a backup on our server to avoid this issue.
Please ensure your iPad is fully charged before your next stocktake. We will put a warning on the top of our app for iPad and iPhone users so merchants are aware of this problem.
This app looks like it has a ton of potential and I was excited to use it. There is a feature called cycle count. It is a seemingly innocuous, easily overlooked little box
especially for a new user that is trying to get their heads around a new app.
----------------
[ ]Cycle count
Check this option to update stock counts only for edited / scanned products.
Uncheck this option to set all unedited / unscanned products to zero stock when updating inventory.
---------------------------
The default is unchecked - WHY? I opened a stock take, looked around, cancelled it and low and behold 12000 inventory items have been messed up. 2 weeks of online purchases not even an option for my customers. I have lost thousands of dollars.
Why is such a majorly impactful box to check not more evident? A staff person could so easily leave it set to the default position.
Their support is email only which is ridiculous when you have an urgent need with your store. They were at least prompt to reply but not very helpful at all with resolving the app.
As far as the functionality of the app - it is ok. Stocky which is free and owned by shopify now is much much better.
Thank you for trying our app and leaving us a review.
Based on your feedback, we will ensure the app displays a more prominent warning if a user tries to set most of their inventory to zero.
I trust that the undo CSV file we provided was able to restore your inventory back to it's original state.
I deeply regret any inconvenience caused to you by our app.
We are pleased with the ease of this app, though we are looking for a quicker way to scan barcodes in our physical point of sale if you have anything in mind :)
(edit) Thanks for the proposal of the other app, we saw it!
But we are looking for a way to connect any given USB or cordless barcode scanner to our pc so it can automatically decrease, set, or increase inventory.
There's an app called Easy Scan that does what you're asking for (scanning and incrementing or decrementing stock). It's a bit pricey at $24 and it's by another Shopify partner.

Thank you for your review. We are working on a Point of Sale app using the same barcode scanning code we use with our stocktaking app. The app is currently free for a limited time and is called "Sales Terminal POS".

We plan on charging $10 per Shopify location once we have our return/exchange/store-credit features ready. Please try our new app and feel free to send us your feedback or feature requests.
Thanks!
Gracias,
