I have been using Stocky for over 2 years and it has met many of my inventory control needs. I just read somewhere that it will be no longer available as of August of 2026. Is this true? And If so, what is recommended as a replacement? I need to be able to track inventory, run summary with activity reports, make adjustments, create pos, etc.

Sadly after using Stocky for 8 years it is now officially unusable. The forecasting feature was never the most accurate but still very useful. But now to it's completely useless. Remember in the early day's of Stocky when it was a private Australian company having a chat with Seb the app's creator and the service was awesome and the features worked great. Since Shopify took it over it's progressively got worse, they didn’t buy it to grow it. They bought it to neutralise it and bundle it.

When can we expect to see the variant options increased on Stocky? It's great that we can have 2048 variants per product in our catalogs, but if I can't see them all to reorder, what is the point?

Thanks for your review. I understand the need for similar features ont he Admin and Stocky to ensure that consistent actions can be taken in regards to inventory management. While I can't guarantee a timeline, I can say that our Developers are consistently looking into improving Stocky and increasing the variant limit in Stocky is on their list.

All I wanted this app for was to have an easier time doing physical inventory of my store. This absolutely did not work. I was genuinely hoping for a way to simply scan all my product for my yearly inventory, but despite following all the instructions to set my scanner and do the actual scanning (and yes, I do have a compatible scanner), it did not work. So once again I will be doing inventory manually. One would think Shopify would have a good, functional physical inventory taking system, so it's frustrating and honestly baffling that they do not, especially after existing for so long.

Great potential — completely neglected by Shopify

Stocky has the potential to be a fantastic app, but it’s been completely abandoned. I was told it used to be a 3rd-party app that actually worked well before Shopify took it over — and sadly, they’ve done nothing to improve it. In fact, they’ve even removed some of the original features. If I were the original developer, I’d be heartbroken to see what it’s become.

I’ve tried multiple times to integrate Stocky into my business, but it’s missing some really basic processes that make everyday use painfully slow and inefficient. There’s no way I could ask my team to work with it. I’ve ended up sticking with Google Sheets, which is far clearer, faster, and adaptable to my needs.

Whenever I’ve contacted Shopify support about Stocky, they’ve known absolutely nothing about it. I had to push to reach two people who seemed to understand it slightly better — but even they couldn’t offer any real solutions.

There’s a real gap in the market for what Stocky should be doing, but it seems it’s just not “glamorous" enough for Shopify to care about. A real loss.

For context, our Stocky developers are constantly striving to improve the app so we would be more than happy to support in anyway we can and/or get someone with extensive Stocky knowledge to support you as well. What I would suggest is to visit our help centre at help.shopify.com adn chat with our Help Centre Assistant on the specific Stocky questions that you might have. This helps with routing you through to a Retail Specialist, someone who has extensive knowledge on Stocky.

We have loved this app, but now I cant bring in a new product into the purchase order, it cant find the item. Also, cannot do an inventory adjustment on a new product, cant find the item. I've had a case number over a week now, no solution. My receiving team is in gridlock! It has brought out warehouse receiving to a stop.

From what you have shared, it looks like the Stocky Developers are currently investigating your situation and are working hard to get a resolution for you. If you feel like you are not getting a response, I would suggest simply replying back to the ticket started asking for an update. Been using for 6 years without issue, however lately, data feed and particulary the vendor list is not aligned. Shopify (owners of the stocky app) have attempted to assist but largely disconnected from the problems.

Become a liabilty of late, rather than a help to stock management.

Update: Higher level devs got involved and have identified an error which requires a patch. Refreshing to get propoer support after going through the AI bots and low level help.

Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify. In the meantime, have you tried to do a manual sync on the app to see if that helps to resolve the issue? This is done by going to Preferences > Sync > Manual sync. This is done in times when some of the data is not aligned with your Shopify Admin. Should you have any other questions, our Support team is always ready to help.

Some needed functionality:
1. Receiving vouchers, so an invoice can have multiple receipts against it.
2. When receiving, the dollar total should only include what is checked off as received.
3. Ability to print barcode labels for specific items on a PO, or invoice, etc.
4. Ability to sort documents while viewing. Right now you have to go into settings if you want to sort differently.
5. (September 2024) Update no longer allows you to edit product costs while receiving.

Frequently glitchy, and with an extremely unintuitive workflow. Trying to get support from shopify is also extremely difficult as most of their support staff isn't familiar with the app, and will pass you around or give you incorrect advice. The most recent update was a downgrade!

Why does every update lower the functionality of the app??

- You now have to click edit on every PO to make updates (change it back!)
- The new colour scheme does not let you easily differentiate between orders pending and received (change it back!)
- When importing goods, sometimes you do not know the total landed costs until after all the import duties and taxes are paid. Stocky LOCKS the landed costs once goods are received.

We need to be able to update shipping costs post order - to accurately see the Landed Costs (Please fix this as it is the most crucial part)

In reply to the comment "you can click the Edit button on the top of a received purchase order to open up the option to adjust the shipping rates as needed." - the figures such as the margin and landed costs remain locked if you have already received the items, so this is not an acceptable solution.
