For free it's a great app with lots of functions. However, I've had an issue arise and even two weeks later I'm struggling to get a response. The support specialists can't offer a time frame and I feel like they don't particularly care about the issue.
Update. It's now 7/09/20. I opened case on 28/06/20 and I still don't have a response. I am still getting no help when asking how long it will take for a response.
My issue is related to the scheduler not turning on and off when it's supposed to meaning that people are expecting chats when I'm not online and getting annoyed when no one is responding. I'm wondering if they're waiting for the UK time change??!
Yes the option is there to do it manually but that is ensuring that you remember to turn it on and off when necessary. It's frustrating that there is an option to schedule online and offline hours but it doesn't work.

There are some circumstances in which we have to escalate cases to find answers and it takes additional time to revert back to you.
The Scheduler allows you to manage the operating days and times of the widget.
Its purpose is to make the widget go offline, even if there are Agents logged in.
For example, let's say you’ve scheduled your widget to appear online from 9 AM - 5 PM.
If you log in before 9 AM, you will not receive chats and your visitor will get the offline form.
The same thing happens when the clock hits 5 PM. Even if there are agents online, the widget is forced to go offline.

Very Hard to install. I uninstalled in order to do a fresh reinstall but the system blocked me.

There is an easy fix if you encountered issues when installing the tawk.to chat widget on your Shopify dashboard.
Follow the steps below to install the chat widget:
1. Clear your browser and cookies.
2. Log in to your Shopify dashboard.
3. Visit https://apps.shopify.com/tawk-to.
4. Click the Add app button for the tawk.to app.
5. Select the green Install app button to continue. You'll then be prompted to log in to your tawk.to account and give permission to Shopify.
6. Then log in to your tawk.to account from the tawk.to app in your Shopify dashboard and choose the property and widget you would like to add to your site.
The widget will be added to all pages of your Shopify site.

It is not free. After gathering all my information finally when i am about to install the app. it asks for money. Misleading way to attract customers

You can add unlimited agents, and add it to unlimited sites and use it free forever - the only "add-on" option is $12/m to remove our branding, which is 100% optional. Not necessary, and you definitely are not obliged to remove branding :)
This app is NOT FREE! In the description it says this app is completely free but when you sign up they make you pay. Very misleading and dishonest! If you guys want to charge just say that in the description, waiste of time!!

Like many have said, the interface is quite clunky. It could definitely use an update. Features are nice, but the Shopify data sync leaves lots to be desired. My biggest gripe (and reason for uninstalling) is their branding is everywhere. Everywhere. It's not a simple, subtle "powered by x" like other providers. No. It boldly advertises its own product and redirects customers away from your site. In the main chat window, for example, there's a huge button right above the text field that is almost impossible not to accidentally click and be redirected to tawk.to. It is extremely unprofessional. Not to mention, not a very classy practice from tawk.to. And honestly, greedy and a waste of resources. Most consumers are not needing a chat app, so there's no point in tawk.to using it's own customers to try and siphon consumers to their site to begin with.
Anyway. I'm uninstalling. It's not worth paying $20 a month just to remove the disrespectful advertising.
Tried installing the app, and it said I have to add the widget code to every single page on my site. Are you kidding me? Who has time for that? Uninstalled the app in less than 5 minutes.
It didn't work on my site? I downloaded it correctly.

Extremely deceptive. Not free! Immediately asks me to choose $12 or $15 monthly fee before you can set up the app. Buyer beware!!
