Why is “just Pixel” not enough?

If you install your TikTok pixels the usual way, it will work in the browser. And browser means limitation. Think ads blockers, IOS 14+ updates, cookie blockers. In plain English, browser-side pixels are prone to data loss.

TikTok Events API = more events collected

With Events API enabled, we capture events to a server and send them directly to the TikTok server, through TikTok Events API. Data is still tied to your pixel, just that the method is different. No longer rely on browser = less missing events

More events = more accurate targeting + better expansion

  • If your ads are optimized to show to people who are most likely to take a desired action, you would want a data pool that’s wide enough for TikTok to figure out who’s the best fit.
  • More well-rounded custom audience means more reliable & relevant lookalike audience

All events are pre-defined in our code.

Below are what’s auto-tracked:

  • Page View
  • View content (when viewing a product page)
  • Add to cart
  • Initiate Checkout
  • Complete Payment

All you need to do is create a Developer Mode pixel (preferable), enter the Pixel ID into our app. We take care of the rest.
