Videowise Shoppable Video UGC

So, we have been using VideoWise for about a month now and its about time I write a review because its long overdue!

For anyone reading this, we are a fashion webshop and we decided to use videowise for product videos (with a product specific video on every product page) because everyone knows that playing product videos in shopify normally sucks.
We are in the process of shooting more brand videos and review / unboxing style videos to accompany the current video setup.

so lets begin...

So far the experience has been amazing. their customer support is really great, they respond to chat in minutes and they always offer a solution to any questions asked.
Which is a big win, because an app can be as good as it can get but if the support is shit, it will be an issue. But VideoWise has this covered.

Now, the app / service itself. Its epic! there are a couple of different companies out there that offer similar services, but Videowise definately offers the most well designed players + customer / end user experience. And if you want to get a good converting setup then this is extremely important.
Even though we have a video popup / slide in on every product page it is absolutely not annoying to customers, and this partly because of the design of the video player and the customizations you can add to the player.

now, because we have a unique video on every product page, it means that that there is a lot of work involved in the setup. this was something we where scared of in the beginning. but a few weeks in and we found that the time spend uploading, syncing products and setting up widgets is extremely doable.
for example, uploading 50 new products, adding shopable products to these videos, and conecting them to product page widgets only takes us about an hour.
the process is streamlined and well thought off.

Now, the big question. Will this app make you money?
Yes, it will. the day we launched the first 50 products on our site with video we had our best day so far. not only that, our conversionrate has definately increased already by quite a lot. (conversionrate cross site went up 25 - 40% already and only part of our product pages have video now, we are busy expanding to more product pages and branding videos and review/ unboxing videos will be added later this year) Im quite sure that we will see our conversionrates at least double because of videowise later this year when we are done setting everything up)

When you start out with this app / service i think the best thing you could do is create a small content plan and make sure you create good quality video content that is useful for customers.
Our product videos for example are simple, just a model walking to the camera, showing the fashion / clothing and walking out of the screen. whole thing is just 12 seconds long, no audio, one take. but the video quality is good, the background is interesting and the product is clearly visible. as long as you create content that will be benificial for the customers purchase journey you will see great results with Videowise!

As for negative points, i dont really have any. i had a few minor issues but support has taken care of them extremely fast. the upload limit has been a bit of a pain in the ass for us (we shoot in very high quality which makes longer videos very big) but they have been extremely flexibel with things and made sure we where able to upload all the needed videos. bigger upload limits will be added soon as well. (but if you are on the fence because your video files are to big, just contact their support, im sure they will find a solution that fits your needs, as it was with us)

So, thats my review. Would i recommend Videowise? definately! They offer an fantastic product which is an absolute conversion beast and their customer service is really great!

This app has been so useful for us in growing sales and learning exactly what approaches our customers respond well to. The videos do not slow our site down whatsoever, and are extremely easy to add to product pages to instantly boost customer engagement. The shoppable video feature has no doubt increased conversion, being able to see a use case video of the product directly from each page is such an effective tool. Very intuitive interface makes it easy for anyone to learn.
Kotryna has been awesome in coaching us through setup, giving advice as to what other tools we could use (SO many useful videowise tools to explore), and is always responsive and excited to see positive progress. Could not be more happy with Videowise!

The platform is very user-friendly & easy to navigate, & even design. This app is a hidden gem, the technology used for this app is incredible. For what the price is, every store should have this app and focus on posting value based content to get the highest returns. We have been using VW for less than 7 days and already tripled our investment and have a conversion rate of 9.25% and this was just the "testing batch" of videos. When we had a small bug(nothing really serious) the CEO personally reached out to us and handled everything immediately. Our focus now after installing this app and seeing the magic is to go all in on VW's onsite/offsite shoppable videos feature. As a company who heavily invest into branding and PR, their offsite video feature is a treasure - as when we have articles written about our products, instead of having still images, now we have a full functional shoppable video on a third party site. Bravo to the VideoWise Team for creating something so unique.

This app is a very effective way to displays videos on your site. No only does it make them shoppable but allows many other ways to simply display videos that are very effective. Analytics allow you to see what is working and what isn't and the team goes above and beyond to help with any request you may have. Highly recommend.
